And the funny thing is when I read the term whitewashed here I was thinking of the term used in sports.

Whitewashed to me means giving appearance of clean until more closely examined the flaws(or fixes) are discovered

I remember I really disliked it when it was released... but I must have been in a shitty mood because this ROCKS. Sure it doesn't break new ground but it most stuff here works. Ozzy sounds good, the songs have a good flow, the riffs are there. I will give it one more spin before I put a rating but it's either 7 or 8.

I haven't listened to this one in a really long time, I will try and make some time to listen to it again.

A Nice Guy
It's not a bad album at all, a decent send off for a legendary band I say. The production is very good on this one, it's really well mixed, and the bass sounds great, it really cuts through deep, but for me I think they played it a wee bit on the safe side, they wanted to end their career on a high, so made a rather consistent album, with simple but decent songs, as opposed to an experimental one which would of been more risky for them, and they brought back some of their traditional doom elements aswel, like the deep guitar tone, and heavy riffs, which is what this lineup was most suited for.

The album brings back nostalgia from the original Ozzy era, which is what I believe most Sabbath fans wanted to see for one last time. It was always great to see the return of Ozzy, I suppose it was destined for him to return to the band for a final time, it's just a shame Ward turned down the role as the drummer for this album, otherwise it would of been a full original house.

I know that this is something he’ll end up regretting on his deathbed.
