More reviews from Solitude means more "Same Shit Different Dudes" Post-it notes, extreme doom bands of varying quality, and My Dying Bride disciples of varying quality. But hey, Drunken Tales by Evoke Thy Lords sports a cosmonaut in barfly mode at Moe's Tavern on the cover, so who knows?

Three beers into a lazy Saturday afternoon I popped it in, tuned in, and spaced out.

"This one time, in doombandcamp, Evoke Thy Lords stuck a flute in their... mix." A great stoner doom jam with the added twist of near full-time Forest of Equlibrium-like flute. Perfect to chill to as the Northern Hemisphere heats up.

The truly meditative trance lords strike it again.

Best track "Dregs".

A fine psychedelic doom album. It gets a bit too repetitive for my taste, but the sound of a flute provides additional flavour that makes this album a lot tastier.
