They didn't dare touch their debut and that's good.

well that one was remastered some years ago to p[erfection. Wish they'd do that with this one as well. Because the re-recording line-up has little to do with the line-up that recorded and wrote the songs at the time.
But to be honest No PLace doesn't need a rematering or rerecording at all, whereas Doomsday For The Deceiver did.

Isn't F&J's current lineup almost identical minus the bassist?
Whatever the lineup, re-recordings basically always suck ass so I'm sure this one will too.
As for No Place's sound, I think the guitars are too muffled and could use some sharpening. Other than that the production is fine.

and my biggest gripe about the re-recording is that they will be re-recording their horrible cover of Saturday's Alright Foir Fighting and once again leaving it in the middle of the album

Wow, just listened to the first track and it sounded very different from the original, and in a bad way. Slower, the production doesn't help too much either, guess I'll just stick with the original.

I really don't get it at all. Why bands doing this? Well, I know that everybody needs money, but why they desecrate their own legacy? I think, when I once released an album, that the spell of this album should never be broken. Well, another pointless release.
