The first half of this album is such a disappointment.

Doom/Death with some few choruses and an oriental atmosphere here and there, poorly added to the album's ambience.. technical parts that completly interrupt the moments where the sonority flows pleasant.. and songs waaaaaaay too long.

On the other hand, ''Ornaments Of Gold'' is a nice song, and from ''Seasons Unite'' to on the album gets a little better in some way.. blending the oriental stuff in a better way. The remix of ''The Beloveds Cry'' (among digipack bonuses) is also great.

But overall this is highly overrated.

But overall this is highly overrated.

You say that because now we are able to compare it with Mabool and ORWarrior, which are both much, much better...
Back then, Sahara and El Norra Alila were pure greatness, as they were so unique...

Rating: 7 This is probably the underrated album of OL's back catalogue, though the vocals really drag it down a bit. There is still some good songwriting to be found on here, as on the last two tracks.

Rating: 10 It's neither underrated nor overrated it is what it is. I must agree that if this was not your first OL album then it might be a little disappointing. I started listening OL with Sahara a few years back and I just fell in love with Ornaments of gold.

Rating: 7 Good album to start, but then it gets only better.
