Adrenaline Mob have lost their drummer, Russell Allen has lost a portion of his dignity, and many people who somehow stuck around after Omertá have lost interest. Not that Mike Portnoy really strained himself on Omertá, but the band still suffers from his absence.

I was hoping to hear something different after Mike asshole Portnoy departed from this band. Oh god, how wrong I was, this is like Omerta 2, same old shit, thus it sucks hard.

Edit: Also, I'm sick of Russel for being part of this get back to SX asap.

Agreed, I'd rather have 1 new SX record than 20 of these.

It almost sounds like AM is trying to be a harder rock arena version of Nickelback. I wish I was just being an alarmist, but just listen to the tones of some of this garbage. Russ needs to get his ass back to SX before this "side-project/pet-project" tarnishes his legacy any more.

As a second note, I wasn't keen on Disturbed very much to begin with, but knowing two members of the band are in AM (and one isn't crusading caps lock internet champion of douche David Draiman) makes me kind of loathe Disturbed even more. Currently hoping their hiatus is permanent and that Draiman has a billboard fall on him.

Didn't know you were on MS Coverkiller! Love your reviews btw. But yeah, this is pretty much as piss-poor of a level of generic as you can get. It might be worth it if Russel had the balls to actually add some more melody to his vocals, but it seems like the group is so focused on this wannabe-angsty-biker image that they aren't even thinking to include some semi-decent/original musicianship in here.

What do you get if you mix Disturbed, Nickelback and Black Label Society? This album. And yes, it is just as bad as it sounds like.

I'm pretty quiet over here. I come by every now and again, though.

I think Russ's voice is one of the big disappointments of the band in general. When we first heard that Mike Portnoy and Russ were working together, i'm sure a lot of us were having prog wet-dreams. Granted, that didn't mean we were going to get prog, and that's fine, because you don't need to stay within your main department of metal to create something masterful. However, with that said, it IS possible to exit your main department, make something weakly generic, lifeless and unoriginal, and wonder why its not received with excitement. Mike, himself teamed up with some blokes and made The Winery Dogs, which isn't progressive metal or even prog-rock, but the tunes had character and were constructed tactfully. Its also not the most original band, but there's more of a classic voice and craft to the tunes, which goes a long way. Flying Colors is more prog and displays a ton of character, but flies under the radar.

The bottom line is that AM aren't doing themselves any favors. If its fun, then hey, whatever. If it sells to levels they are comfortable with, once again, whatever, its not for me, potato, potahto. But if this is just being kept going because the other projects of the members are at a standstill or on hiatus...that's not good.

It wouldn't be wrong to call me a Russell Allen fanboy, and with that said, I will say that I absolutely cannot stand this piece of worthless shit of an album. I even tried to like it, but this trash is so bad that I'm afraid I'm gonna be killing myself if I hear this again.

Russell! You're probably not reading this, but for the love of god, stop this idiocy! Don't sing with that retarded accent (turning words like "more" into "mo") and sing correctly for fucks sake! Singing like that kind of rasp all the time is NOT good for your voice. You can almost sing classically, so don't waste anymore time on this bullshit.
