I'd rather call 'em gothenburg than extreme power because of Etorre Rigotti as producer.

It has its melodeath moments, but a large portion of it is clearly angry power metal

Agreed with LeKiwi. If you strip away the vocals, the music is dominated by power metal. Who the producer is does not dictate an album's genre, otherwise Dimmu Borgir's Enthrone Darkness Triumphant would be considered melodic death metal since that is what Peter Tagtgren is most known for producing.

Yea, cuz every self-respecting metal site with a database trusts bands to properly genre-tize themselves. If that was the case I'd have changed Otargos to DARK XTREME METAL 2 days ago when they requested it. And most of the bands in our database would just be listed as "Metal" because so many of them start their bios with "Band X is a metal band from Country X..."

They have way too many tracks with clean vocal *nonsense.

MOD EDIT: clean vocals have nothing to do with homosexuality

It still has the potential for confusion and offense. You know it's a joke, I hoped it was a joke, but one of our gay users who doesn't know you and doesn't like that word could still take offense to it. Therefore it's a blanket no no.

We don't even allow our oreo staffer to use "n*gga" playfully for the same reason.

I miss it 10 years ago when we could do homophobic jokes with our school friends without worrying and everyone knew it was just jokes and everyone was happy
