The first official single, "All The Devil's Toys" is available on iTunes and already leaked on youtube.
I loveeeeeeeee ittttttt!!!
Wen Whip sings: "Come here....".... Oh God, I'm screaming on the inside & the outside. So sexy. Can't wait for this one to come out! 5 long years, 5 years, and it finally is here, so close!

Typical. Not an album for those, who seek something new in Deathstars sound.
However, I find it highly enjoyable, I especially like how the first half of the album is catchy, up-beat and the second one extremely dark. The elements are well ballanced, more keyboards driven sound. I only miss more of Whip's screams. Overall, very very pleased with this release, better than NEN.

Meh. Pretty meh. Generic. Also most of the songs sounds pretty the same. It's like Gothic version of Disturbed.

Deathstars is a band that I love seeing live but most of their studio works (except for Termination Bliss) has been bland (with the exception of a couple of singles). The Perfect Cult seems to return to that blandness but not to the degree of Night Electric Night. An improvement but I do think that they should get a second guitarist. With just a single one, it tends to become tiresome.

After the first spin I was shocked about this new album, because it was extremely focused on electronics and keyboards. My first prognosis was that I will give it a 7 (at best).
After the second spin I remembered that the "new" more electronically style was already used on Synthetic Generation, which was my least favorite album by the Deathstars to date (not a good sign at all)...
After at least two dozens more spins, I got grown on most songs and really love this new style. I was awaiting a more TB-like album, after I read somewhere that they want to get darker again after NEN.
However, what I didn't expect was that they indeed bring back the darkness of TB, but mix it with keyboard & electronic driven sounds like on SG (while they are even more present on TPC).
This symbiosis makes it a highly enjoyable album for me. The Perfect Cult is just as well as Termination Bliss I think, while separating their different styles. Songs 3-5 on this album easily fit amongst my previous favorite Deathstars songs.
It's interesting how an album I didn't really like on first spin sounded better and better for me when giving it a few/dozen/few dozen more spins.

My thoughts exactly. After I listened to it for the first time, The Perfect Cult (the song) seemed like a deal breaker, I thought the album was cut in half and couldn't really embrace the second half of the album all in one. But after the second and third listening, it had me. I would give it a fair and square 9/10 (saying TB is 10/10 and both NEN and SG a 8/10).

^ agree with this! Always thought the singer for this band sounds strange but I checked it out. Not my usual cup of tea, but I like their simple approach to songs.

don't get me wrong, I love the singer of Deathstars, he really knows how to use his voice ! Termination Bliss was dark, vicious, ie very enjoyable but NEN seems to be the soundtrack of a "litte pony" movie by comparison And all I've heard from the Perfect Cult sounds like a pure follower to NEN

Huge Deathstars fanboy, which is no secret here. I've been a fan since 2006, I consider "Termination Bliss" to be one of the top 10 albums of all time. Probably. I loved "Night Electric Night". So I've been waiting for this album for over five years now. There really was nothing which could fulfill my expectations for this release. And no, it did not. At first I thought was good, "Fire Galore" being the second song and it's just insanely catchy. But after that it drops a lot of tempo and I thought it lacked like three up-tempo-right-in-your-face-singles or something like that. But I've been spinning it several times now and it sure is a grower. During the best parts, which is several, it's absolutely outstanding.
However, a bit of a problem is that a Deathstars album shouldn't be an album which has to grow on you. It should just need one spin and then you know you just heard some great shit. Well well, it's finally here.

Not a bad album by any means, but it still won't be topping Termination Bliss.

I found this a little underwhelming to be honest. It seems to me like the band have favoured the more symphonic/industrial-tinged part of their sound and left the rhythm section to plod along. That said, some of the songs here are really well written, particularly the title track, 'Ghost Reviver' and 'Temple of the Insects'.

It's just so.... average. Weakest Deathstars album to date.

Agree, listened to most tracks but none really appeals to me. They sound like NEN tracks mixed up with keyboards from Synthetics Generation without the skills. Boring...

^ Yea I'd second that, especially the Temple of the Insects one. A shame that the album itself is a bore.

Decided to give it another try a couple of years after the release and... Except for a few songs like "All the Devil's Toys" or "Explode" this albums is just filled up with void and lack of inspiration. Too much of keyboard, lack of aggressivity and originality. Hard for me to admit that this is the very same band that brought us "Termination Bliss" :/
PS : seems the band has vanished ! Anyone got news ?
