There's something naturally interesting about Icelandic music. Perhaps it's out of predilection for its origin, geographic distance and isolation at the top of the world. Whatever the case may be, there's one particular metal band who have managed to convey their own meaning in this phenomena.

Will I get yelled at if I say I think this's overrated?

YES.

Naw, I can see why people wouldn't enjoy this as much as I do, but I think this is a really strong release.

Strength in numbers, hide behind me while I say half the album is boring.

Surely I should be hiding you with my massive 63kg frame. (no, I didn't call you Shirley, someone will say that, so I'll get in 1st)
I wouldn't really say boring, more like it sounds like its building to something but that something never comes. I've only listened to it once, though, so maybe it'll get better.

Well I am serious, why would you call me Shirley?
You're right, I was harsh. You expressed what I meant by "boring".

Rating: 7 The last of the bonus tracks was really good. They came on one of those mini cds, too. Never had one of them before.

Rating: 9 I found my album of the year!!! The singer reminds me of Bono sometimes, but with more passion.

The way he sings in Nattmal for example. When I heard it the first thing in my head was: "Bono"

Rating: 7 What style do the 1st 2 bonus tracks count as? I can hear bits of black, thrash, heavy metal and hardcore in there.

Rating: 7 Finally I've heard the whole album which is fairly good but still I can't get why it had drawn so much attention. And these weak vocals ( but I must agree that they fit into the music well) don't even get close to Bono's voice.

Late reply is late, but Til Valhallar is a re-recording of the original song from their debut EP.

Rating: 6 Gave it another spin today, what a boring album. I'm hoping they play some stuff from Köld when I see them live because this will just put me to sleep.
Zykloncrawaxx - 13.11.2015 at 23:16
Rating: 7 Solstafir with their sound striped down? They did that once, it was called Fjara. But Fjara was still loud and encompassing. Without that it all just sounds boring. This is still good, and is far more enjoyable when they play the songs live, but this album could have had much better production to keep it on par with their previous two albums.
