08:51 - Apothecary It's like it's saying "those things, that you thought were buried deep in your mind's recesses.... I am bringing them out." So, "disturbing" in a different sense of the word, I guess
08:50 - Apothecary I'm not in Vindsval's head of course, but I look at MoRT as channeling the nature of the human unconscious, and that's what's so off-putting about it in a way because its paradoxical structured/formless aura somehow reflects that
08:25 - Jaeryd Gnaw Their Tongues is something I would call disturbing though, yes.
08:23 - Jaeryd MoRT, disturbing or scary? Twisted, dark, insane, and brilliant, yes, but there's much more unsettling stuff out there.
08:14 - Apothecary If you liked I Shall Die Here, you might want to investigate the work of The Haxan Cloak farther, the guy they collabed with for it. Pretty nice if you're into the ambient stuff [link]

I've wrestled with this review for quite some time now, sort of dreading typing it up. The biggest reason for this is Narrow House is another of those more "extreme" doom bands that has migrated into far less harsh territory. In and of itself, that isn't a bad thing.
