Debut was much better. And they burn in hell for sure.

Good album, but production is pretty shitty. It takes much of mine music enjoyment.

Immolation's last and second masterpiece.
No band can copy their style because they're just too unique.

The production seems beefed up and the songwriting feels supercharged, but this sophomore release is no less electrifying or intense than the band's debut in my opinion. Whilst it is shorter there are still so many twisted leads and riffs to indulge in, but Immolation did demonstrate here that their chosen musical direction was growing and becoming more definitive. The last two songs for me personally are evidence of what has made Immolation stand out from the crowd. "Christ's Cage" in particular has this kinda psychedelic menace swirling throughout, and the menacing sounding guitar work continues to seethe. It doesn't have to be fast or ridden with blastbeats-as it is, the closing track to this album is flawless.

Absolutely packed with incredibly evil soundscapes and musical ideas. Almost every second of this tight and dense album is interesting, compelling, and incredibly dark. Some of my favorite moments are Nailed to Gold, Christ Cage, Towards Earth, but fucking everything here owns.

Immolation's last and second masterpiece.

2nd masterpiece? Yes.
