I love nontraditional black metal. I also love one man bands. This year, Pulsar Colony is helping me kill two birds with one stone.

Easily the best of Pulsar Colony, but still nothing outstanding

I'm not sure this guy really has it in him to ever be outstanding. Nice stuff regardless though.

I highly doubt it. His structures tend to rely heavily on repetition of mundane riffs to "create an atmosphere", when in reality it just winds up being boring. This one was definitely enjoyable, however, so maybe he just needs (a lot of) time to mature his sound

It's not bad, but I really don't understand what's "experimental," "Avantgarde," or "psychedelic" about this album. It just sounds like black metal with the occasional melodic interlude to me.

EDIT: Ok, those last two tracks are pretty psychedelic, but other than that, not really.

I am the Magician and the Exorcist. I am the axle of the wheel, and the cube in the circle. “Come unto me” is a foolish word: for it is I that go.

Hmmm, I really liked it after one spin. Will definitely revisit it.

The previous record is slightly better I thought, so give that one a go too.

Underrated. One man's boring is another man's hypnotic, and I don't find it boring in the least. Deliciously heavy and atmospheric, with well-down vocals that perfectly fit the music.
