Didn't think that the choir could add something meaningful to the songs... I was wrong.

I liked it, but it really brings nothing new to Satyricon's music. Has Satyr said in a interview, he just wanted to give more emphasis to certain aspects of Satyricon's music, and not add anything else. And from this perspective it's an accomplished project. Listen to To The Mountains, in which the operatic voices really stand out and give the song a whole new dimension. But in other songs there's really nothing new: Phoenix and Repined Bastard Nation, for example. There's also an issue with the setlist imo: since it's a special project, why not a more diversified setlist? Most songs are from the last album, and it gives the idea that this more the promote the new songs than to work again in older ones. I think that some The Shadowthrone songs would work very well.
