Doing less with more may not seem like a compliment, but then again Imperium Dekadenz have a way of utilizing excess space in their favor.

Somehow I am not familiar whit this bands discography but somehow its still BM, but don't work to me, even I hear old rawish and primitivism there mix whit modern approach in giving names to lyrics, album artwork and so on. Maybe after spinning more I will like this one.

Well, I really enjoy this one. It has some really introspective moments and also some awesome Black Metal riffs, that have the trademark "Imperium Dekadenz"-sound. I don't need anything more to be absolutely satisfied with an album of theirs. Maybe I will rethink my rating after I have listened to it more. But so far my impression is extremely positive.

I've listened to the rest of this band's discography but I have to say, their latest full-length is still my favourite overall. Granted, it's a slightly biased decision given that Dis Manibvs was my introduction to the band, but it's only grown on me more and more since I first heard it over 2 years ago. Some of the most memorable Imperium Dekadenz songs are from this record, in particular "Still I Rise" and "Volcano" (mainly for their central melodies), both excellent slices of this style of black metal. Generally though, I feel this is their most consistent full-length effort, whereas the other albums had maybe one or two (or more) moments which didn't feel right. With Dis Manibvs, for the most part, I get good chills.
