This is anything but ambient black metal. Really liked it a lot. The title track is really awesome.

Yeah definitely one of the best BM records of 2016. I would not say that it is just classic sounding Icelandic BM from Australia. To start with, it does not rely on exclusive use of dissonance, and the wall of sound is not as dense.
