Be'lakor, Insomnium and Omnium Gatherum all released their albums last year and this is the closest it gets to the modern "atmospheric" MDM played by these bands. Very solid album, great quality for a debut!

Very good melodic death metal album and band. So many good melodies and atmosphere. Dark earth and Black sails are my favourites.

Same issue here, I just can not stand the vocals. The singing sounds like it was recorded separetely from the music and they were just added together with no intention to match them whatsoever.

Yeah, the vocals are baaad. But also, I feel the melodies are nice... but uninspired. The album definitely lacks punch.

Damn, I'd love to have an instrumental version of this. Or recorded with another vocalist.

As many said before, the vocals are taking away the magic this brilliant album could have. These vocals would fit more on an Asphyx type of death metal album, but here it's just annoying. The music however is excellent. The instrumental parts were those sonic islands where you could take a rest after the bugging vocals. I'm sorry whoever the singer is, he needs to be replaced by someone whose vocal abilities would fit more into the atmosphere.

I also do agree that the vocals are mismatching for the atmospheric feel the album has.. but still I rate the album 9. Would have given full score if not for the vocals.

In the beginning I was made of clay. Then I bit the apple and they changed me to metal 🤘

I actually like the vocals. They were a bit harsh sounding to me at first, but now I like the way they sound with the rest of the music. And musically it's awesome as well!

Vocals need some edit or sth. They are too raw and wheezy. Kills the great music for me.
