Not often do musicians who were involved in a well esteemed, high quality band that broke up go on to make music up to par with what they did previously after the fact. It's even less likely that they end up making music that surpasses what they did previously. Cult Leader stands today as an example of how such occurrences, while quite rare, still aren't entirely unheard of.

Oh nice, I spotted a bunch of their older records pop up in the best selling bit on Bandcamp so wondered if they had a new one coming out.

Also, that track is mental good.

Wow, pretty great first impression here, even better than I remember the debut being. I really love the contrast between the heavier and the lighter aspects of the music like on To: Achlys and the title track. That kind of approach has a sort of dark, brooding beauty to it that is heavy in its own right and doesn't feel too out of place from the rest of the violent rampaging either.

I am the Magician and the Exorcist. I am the axle of the wheel, and the cube in the circle. “Come unto me” is a foolish word: for it is I that go.

I often forget that this band is formed by members of Gaza after its break up. Mostly because I fucking love Gaza and its no surprise that this is continuing the good run albeit not as noise rock oriented as the aforementioned.
