Additional info
The new Agrypnie album "Grenzgænger" can be offhand entitled as their magnum opus. With a playing time of overall more than one hour AGRYPNIE have created a multifaceted cosmos of sound which drags the listener more and more towards the abyss. Enraged furiousness abruptly turns into disenchanting hopelessness and all boundaries of time and space seem to blur with every step you take towards infinity.

Ok, this is pretty kick ass. Vocals are the only question mark.

The album is top class, Agrypnie went straight into post-bm elite with Aetas Cineris and continue to reside there with Grenzgænger. Agreed about the vocals though, too much hysterics this time even compared to the previous works.

It's a very good album, just too long, hence the score. I got bored, cause I knew it would go on forever, haha.

I didn't have very high hopes for this album, because I never really got into Aetas Cineris and Asches. IMHO, theses two previous releases are lacking the enthusiasm and spontaneity you can witness on the first three albums of the former Nocte Obducta offshoot.
But Grenzgænger caught me absolutely off guard and since a couple of weeks, I didn't spin any other CD more often than this. I am pleased the band didn't water down their style - some of the brutest, fastest and darkest Agrypnie tracks ever can be found on this album.
I tried to spot the "hysteric vocals" but failed, I think the voice fits perfectly. And I also can't complain that the album is too long. There is enough variety and the constant change of tempo keeps you on your toes.

Favorite tracks: "Auferstehung" and "Aus Zeit erhebt sich Ewigkeit" (which surprisingly reminds me of Severija Janu?auskaitė's "Zu Asche, zu Staub", the main theme of the german TV series Babylon Berlin)

But it's a pity that someone just pasted the boring and pointless promotional text of Pavor Nocturnus as additional info here. Mentioning the quite impressive list of guest musicians (members of Harikiri For The Sky, Dornenreich, Todtgelichter...) would have been a far better idea.
