Drangsal!!! Holy fuck!

When I first saw the ratings I was quite sceptical, but this album is actually a gem. Not far from Harakiri for the sky, not innovative in any way, JJ did an excellent crafting of melodic black metal. It definitely needs more attention from the fans of the genre so it deserves indeed the high ratings.

Can't remember if I've heard this or not but I'll add it near the top of my list so I get around to it sooner. I really enjoyed Traktat so if this is similar at all then it'll probably be another 8 from me.

Honestly I believe this album is more coherent than Traktat. I usually agree with Troy-views but in Traktat I do not thing songwriting should rated that high. Because in Dornenvögel I see a huge difference in this asset. Just an opinion though, as always.

Have you had a chance to listen to Dornenvögel yet? Because I totally agree with Reaper .. My main problem that I have with Karg (and Harakiri for the Sky for that matter) is that I have troubles picking out the differences between songs .. they often sound too much alike to me. However, that feeling is completely missing on Dornenvögel. Here they managed to pull off a very diverse album imo .. Petrichor being my personal highlight from it.
