Enjoyable, but this is kinda Tales... part 3. It's not like I want them to change their sound too much, but their "special" moment, if I may say so, has passed.
Tales... was one the albums I played a lot when it came out and what came after not so much. I guess they go by the rule "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", which is ok (other more famous bands have done it...), but I don't see myself playing this album much in the near future.

The mixing/production has something weird: when listening with earphones at high volume the sound feels a bit distorted, in an annoying way...

It is a good album, anyhow.
But maybe the first that does not "surprise" me from this band.

This album hasn't grown on me at all. Mostly filled with mid-tempo and mediocre music. The album offers a promising start with the first 3 tracks that probably save this album from utter disaster. I can even tolerate "Dance" and see its effect when played live. However, the other tracks after "Dance" until "Stardust" are below average. The last 4 tracks are a slight improvement but don't redeem the album. The Arabic parts are a welcome addition in the metal world but there is not display of musicianship as in previous albums, mainly the solos. The songs have no a progy or even power metal edge.

6.5 at best.
