Surprisingly good. Intense atmosphere, beautiful melodies, great clean vocals and aggressive when it needs to be. Vernal Equinox is a calm, eerie masterpiece, while The Seer's Embrace and Of Moss And Stone are more balanced and the epitome of composition in this album.

Yeah same. The female vocals remind me of Swans' Jarboe. There's something calming about it that just resonates with me. It's just a great Sunday morning coming down album.

Initially i rated this a 9, but it grew on me. These guys play music that is closest to their hearts, and it really shines through. This and "When a Shadow Is Forced into the Light" is the most genuine and heartfelt albums of the year.

The current rating of 7 point 9 is wrong. It takes time to appreciate this type of music, but when it does click, it's like being directly connected to nature from your living room.

Great record.

The female vocals remind me of Swans' Jarboe.

Jarboe is actually a guest vocalist here

Btw, I can't get enough of this album.

That'd be why then.
