The eternal quest for money continues for Joey DeMaio as Manowar stretch their farewell across three releases. I would not hold him to his word as Gods of War was supposed to be the first of a collection of albums featuring various Gods of War. I can only assume the songs would have been the same with some names changed and some new artwork. Nevertheless, this is the first new material from Manowar since 2014's The Lord of Steel and it was truly not worth the wait (if anyone was waiting) despite there being some moments that make it a little better than that travesty.

"Sword Of The Highlands" is quite good

True, but everything else isn't.

Well... I like Manowar, I really do, but this one is just weak. One good song (Sword of the Highlands) is not enough...

I have been a fan of Manowar for a very long time and I had high hopes for this EP since the last one (Thunder in the sky) was rather good, but I don't like this new release at all. Sword of the Highlands is a decent song, but Blood And Steel is just mediocre, and the last song is so bad it hurts my ears. Joey DeMaio should never ever attempt to sing again. His performance in "You shall die before I die" is like a spit in the face of all Manowar fans that still take tke band seriously even after the last two decades of decline. I have no idea how anyone in the band or at the record company could possibly believe that anyone could actually want to listen to such a musical abortion, let alone to pay with money to hear this peace of garbage.

Even Lord Of Steel had better tracks. This is bad, not even "Sword Of The Highlands" does anything for me.
