Back in 1992, Darkthrone released the first part of a trilogy of legendary albums, A Blaze In The Northern Sky. It was notorious for its riffs that recalled their past as a death metal band yet played in full black metal fashion. Now, 20 years later, one band decides to take this teaching and use it for its own depraved purposes. Beware folks, things are about to get nasty.
After getting crushed during their set at Roadburn. It is more than appropriate to let you know about the disgusting beast of a band that is Alkerdeel and their sophomore record.
An ever-present and pulsing bass, rocking wall of sound, hypnotic and chaotic drums, sick vocals.
It is doom, sludge and black blended beyond distinction.
I'll keep all my detailed comments for the review but yeah, this is fantastic. It doesn't stops to grow on me specially after seeing their set at roadburn. Everyone who sees him/herself as a fan of filthy music should listen to this album.

I think that Flower Metal guy should review it hahaha
You can guarantee it would get the lowest score possible if that happened I would imagine someone like him would declare it as not being music because it lacks a kawaii factor...

I torrented coffinworm's "When All Became None" yesterday but had not listened to it yet, I shall do tomorrow since the Derz's review is very promising. Also, regarding Lord Mantis, do not know why but I mistook them with Dragged Into Sunlight and listened to DIS instead (the Hatred For Mankind album) and liked that.Especially, the death metal influence was very interesting. I will also go for your words and give Lord Mantis a chance. Actually, searching for it now.
Edit: me so dumb ass. I have the last LM album in my laptop, was not aware of that

Lord Mantis are kind of the sludge equivalent Dragged Into Sunlight so I think you might like them
