Omfg.....another masterpiece ....wow....it's so perfect

Doom!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, the 1 ratings have already started to appear... punch me if those have another purpose than pushing this album downwards on the top 20 ranking albums of 2015.

I started listening to this album this morning, and I can't get past the first song. I just keep rewinding it. It was a long time since something hit me like that.

Such a beautiful sound. The songcraft is good, but this sound is like drowning in warm milk.

So ethereal.. unreachable.. Breathtaking album!!

If this isn't going to be my album of the year, then I must admit God exists.

The impressionist butt is what brought me over, the music is what made me stay. Never thought I'd actually enjoy funeral doom, this is definately something.

Excellent stuff, totally worth the 11 year wait and surely exceeds expectations. Personal favourites for me are "Reaching the Innermost", the title track and "The Blank Journey".

Long story short it means that something crazy must happen if this isn't going to be my #1 this year.

Not a funeral doom fan, but damn... this is amazing.

Definitely better than I expected. I would say it's my second favourite SoD album, with the debut still being the best.

I can't exactly put my finger on it, but this music is just awesome... the atmosphere is amazing and almost unheard of, even in the genre.

Best album of 2015.

Not a fan of funeral doom but this is truly beautiful music. Really liking this, along with Ahab's BOTGC. Glad these bands have made an impression on me this year and have given me a reason to revisit a genre I thought I would never appreciate.

An absolutely breath-taking album. Soul-crushing, spine-tingling and hauntingly beautiful. The atmosphere created in this album is incredible, and unlike any other I've heard. The slow riffs, ambient synths, harsh vocals and occasionally angelic female vocals all work together so perfectly.

For me, there isn't a weak track and there isn't a moment wasted. Although personal highlight's would be 'The Distant Dream of Life' and 'Reaching the Innermost'. Definitely album of the year for me, and potentially one of my favourite albums of all time.

I am slowly getting to this insight... Its a devlish grower.

This album is excellent, dreamy like the debut. Really enjoying this!

I haven't been here for a while but exclusively came to rate this album and tell everyone that if you're into funeral doom you need to listen to this album.

This is the best album done before the group. And new vocalist Henri "Kaamos" Koivula with levels above the old

Near to perfect doom.

Shape of Despair always produces a rush of emotions that is so beautiful. It's like drowning into an abyss. Very well done.

They're still the kings of Light Funeral Doom.

8.5/10 leaning slightly towards an 8 for me. Very good, but a tad long.
