This album turned to my liking, even though I have unreasonably prejudice for anything sounding a tad 'core-like or too punky and my interest in black metal has been real low recently as well. Also digg the crap out of the John Baizley cover, this and baroness' the blue album cover is simply amazing.

I listened to this album as soon as it was released mainly because I'm a big fan of Hoest and so I was psyched to check the project he participated in, and this as it turns out is a freaking monster XD

Haha, that doesn't mean I don't think Protest the Hero aren't ridiculous either. I find this to be a very unique album as well, a very strange combination of genres, but they work so well together.

Agreed, really an odd mix of styles. But as you said all the pieces fit to make a damn good album IMO.

This is a great album indeed.
I like it from start to end. I didn't know the band before, but this is some nice music.
I'd give it an 8.7. Oh, and I don't like the cover.

Although I think the music sounds awesome, I would enjoy this to a greater extent if the lyrics were translated to the English language. It's still awesome, nevertheless.

I think Cobalt is mixing Punk and Black Metal at a high level these days. Way better than Darkthrone. Kvelertak is some high energy, fist pumping metal!
