Rating: 9 I would have died with a fucking smile on my face if this fantastic and completely unexpected album was the soundtrack to my 12/21/12 apocalypse.
Lokaeda - 05.01.2013 at 02:14
From what I've listened too, it reminds of Krallice. Gonna dig it more.
Fallen Ghost - 06.01.2013 at 01:49
Rating: 8 This is really interesting. Listening to it now, it IS good!
RiouxMax - 07.01.2013 at 19:58
Very, very similar to Mirrorthrone. But I can't say no to more Mirrorthrone!
BaneConall - 10.01.2013 at 23:17
Rating: 9 I'm surprised no one has mentioned Ihsahn on this thread. The vocals and some parts of the music really remind me of some of his solo stuff.

Rating: 10 OMG..............this album is's awesome...08. In Putris Stagnum and 10. Rebirth Of An Old

I'm getting a distant Mirrorthrone vibe from this. I'm digging what I am hearing.
Gelati - 20.01.2013 at 23:54
Rating: 8 I don't usually listen to a lot of black metal but this was a bombshell. By successfully utilizing a variety of sonic textures and a mature understanding of composition overall, Xanthrochroid have given us a real gem. This is, indeed, the start of something special.
AtrumHiberna - 21.01.2013 at 02:50
I really don't see what's all the fuss about
Ag Fox - 23.01.2013 at 10:39
Rating: 6 Unfortunately, I don't see the fuss either
qlacs - 27.01.2013 at 16:55
Rating: 8 It is certainly not bad, but is nowhere near Ne Obliviscaris's debut. They don't have enough passion for it - yet. Some songs are very good though, might enough to consider a 9.
PocketMetal - 04.02.2013 at 14:23
Rating: 6 Rarely I see a staff picked album sounding so hollow ... it seems they know how to write music but there's no feeling in this album . this is the opposite of what it should have been ...
Kuroboshi - 10.02.2013 at 08:16
Rating: 6 I honestly thought it was Ihsahn singing at first. Pretty nice debut. Need to listen some more to it before rating.
Kuroboshi - 11.02.2013 at 04:23
Rating: 6 Okey, so 1 word is enough. Pretentious.
Fallen Ghost - 19.02.2013 at 12:38
Rating: 8 Own this album now, and it got even better when listening to the actual CD, while reading upon the lyrics and looking at the album artwork.. I went to rate this from a 9 to 10, this is a masterpiece!
Dentura - 21.02.2013 at 13:08
Rating: 8 I think this is better than Ne Oblviscaris' album (actually that one's still better now), if only I listened to this soon enough, it would have appeared on my top 20 of 2012, if that were the case. Oh well, I'm seeing them live at least. Orange County represent!!
Zadion - 09.06.2013 at 17:44
Rating: 7 Rebirth of an Old Nation is so insanely good.
LeKiwi - 31.07.2013 at 19:11
Rating: 9 Very original! Looking forward to their future efforts
Poirot - 19.12.2013 at 01:23
Rating: 10 I rarely rate an album 10 but this album is probably the best I've heard in a long time, really close to perfection. I can't fathom how one may find it "pretentious" or rate it below 8. Oh well, opinions I guess...
