It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

The band features 3 members from Isis, another post metal band already on MS, and the vocalist of Deftones.
It is more post-like than Isis and not quite as heavy, but it definitely deserves a place on MS, as it is reminiscent of bands like AtomA.
I believe that a lot of fans of bands like Isis, AtomA, Enshine, Aoria and other bands in that vein of music will greatly appreciate this band.
29.06.2013 - SyFFiLiS
"Heavy, stargazing rock outfit Palms was forged out of an explosive collision, as Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno joined forces with critically-lauded post-metal group ISIS". This should be enough said to add this band on MS.

Album is fantastic, put it on here!
07.07.2013 - Unhealer
Liking this album more and more each listen!
28.07.2013 - psykometal
Didn't hear any metal in this at all when I listened.
03.10.2013 - 3rdWorld
-1. And i do agree with Mr.Database manager. There isn't any metal in this at all. No need to die to get it added in here, cuz this doesn't deserve a place here. Not to mention their really crappy and bland debut. Pfft. >:(
24.10.2013 - ScreamingSteelUS
I don't understand why people insist on associating post-rock with metal. There is no metal here.
29.12.2013 - Zaphod
Agreed, no reason to be on MS. Then again, they added Anneke Van Giersbergen just because she has been in metal bands...
24.05.2012 - The Benighted
Corelia are a burgeoning progressive/technical metal band with a single EP under their belts. With a sound not unlike Protest the Hero and The Human Abstract, they've come across some especially interesting ideas along the way, with a stunning selection of songs, to boot. 'Nostalgia' was released in 2011, and I've been listening ever since. Highly recommended.
09.09.2013 - LeKiwi
Not unlike Periphery's heavier moments...not bad
02.10.2013 - BaneConall
They are working on a full length now. Hopefully soon.
17.03.2014 - Dead In Hell
I have to say, the sound IS unlike Protest the Hero. The only way these bands sound alike is if you've never heard progressive metal before. Corelia is doing something entirely different, something that is much more amenable to fans of the genre and not just tweens taking a break from their Miley Cyrus playlists.
Anyway, Corelia deserves to be included on the site. Nostalgia is a phenomenal release that has garnered the band a lot of well-deserved attention and acclaim. If the upcoming album is of the same quality, it's going to take the genre by storm.
10.04.2013 - JefferyTotterdell
Great up and coming band, with a bit of reggae and Latin mixed in, which is groovy
First Ep of three albums and the progression is really good.
These types of bands have been doing really well lately.
But the music tells the real story so have a listen, a few live performances on YouTube.
27.03.2014 - Giza
Amazing Progressive/Alternative Metal band. Sounds like a mix of Meshuggah and Faith No More.
26.05.2014 - andreosokin
totally agree! should be added ASAP, I'll help with filling their page out

They should be here as Spain is a kind of important country as regards metal fans and this band is together with another 4 or 5 the most famous hard rock and rock band in the territory. Above all from Madrid northwards. They only reason why outsiders don't know them is the fact that they sing in Spanish. Otherwise, they would be popular enough for you.
Their music style is quite similar to The Ramones, Motorhead...The voice is let's say "peculiar". They are still active after 28 years and still selling out venues.
Their website appears to be in maintenance now.
02.06.2014 - Jujitsu-man
Can't believe they're not here. One of the most important hard rock bands in Spain.
09.06.2014 - Shankao
They are not only a Hard Rock band. They have several Heavy Metal songs.

Fastway are a British heavy metal band formed by guitarist, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, formerly of Motörhead, and bassist, Pete Way, formerly of UFO.
Don't think I need more reasons to explain why the band needs to be part of MS? Do You? I bet most of Motörhead and UFO fans are familiar with Fastway or know something about the band.
In addition, I am not able to find there official site, however I provided a link to there myspace page.
27.01.2010 - DayFly
AOR of the sticky, shmalzy kind
24.10.2013 - onedh
Fastway should be included in metalstorm.com ASAP. "Fast" Eddie Clarke delivers atrue amount of oldschool Heavy Metal. Also this band has been an influence for many other bands.
02.12.2009 - Bastard Child
London based and out to offend everyone. Featuring members of Damnas and Inner Rage River Frehney have terrorized the UK underground with their no holds bar offensive comedy and hardcore thrash. Have played with ArnoCorps, Ring Wrom and Evile, toured with Nebukadnezza and have a number of EP's released.
05.06.2013 - psykometal
Needs at least one full length.
24.03.2014 - Northern Danger
Psyko why? In metalstorm we have so many bands who have only EPs and splits. I think that's no condition....

Stamina is a french metal band founded by the keyboardist Gildas Vijay ROUSSEAU. In 2006 they released their debut album "Mess'Age" and currently work on the second album "Via Crucis".

This band is worth listening to to all who like heavy music. They play a very unique kind of music, you can call it alternative rock, or hard rock, with one the most talented lead singers out there.
15.03.2011 - WingedOctopi
Amazing band, fans of Tool should like this.
05.01.2012 - hadriel
This band needs to be added. Similar bands like dredg and Fair to Midland have been added to the site, rightfully so should these guys. Not to mention that their music is stellar! ;)
12.04.2012 - Nicoline
With 2,4 million listens registered on last.fm, this band cannot be ignored. I hope to read reviews and updates on Rishloo from MS in the future.

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.

Slash's Snakepit was a rock band which was a side-project formed by then-Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Slash (Saul Hudson) in 1994. On their first album, Matt Sorum (drums), Gilby Clarke (rhythm guitar) and Dizzy Reed (keyboard) from Guns N' Roses played in this band. On bass was Mike Inez of Alice in Chains and Eric Dover (who had previously played guitar for Jellyfish) sang lead vocals.
GN'R colleague Teddy Andreadis also appeared on the record playing harmonica & keyboards.
03.03.2010 - DayFly
Honestly, this stuff has too much boogie to call it metal. Maybe if Aerosmith were here...
05.04.2013 - DarkSymphony500
Atmospheric/Doom Metal band with gothic influences. They get the influences from bands such as Draconian, Agalloch, Shape of Despair, Saturnus and Tristania. They have released 2 EPs and a full-length album 'Errances' (2012).
22.03.2014 - RavenV.
Exceptionally atmopsheric doom band. Hope they will be soon part of the database.
08.06.2011 - in GRAVE
they are a good progressive metal band and they are influenced in dream theater and symphony x
16.05.2012 - Oracles
There one of those hidden European Prog Metal bands that are from a country who produces little to zero good metal bands and they signed with an unknown record company that is making them go unnoticed. But if everything goes good, this band has immense future. Their major influence is Dream Theater.
Tree of Life ,
The Land of Lights.
All of which you can find on youtube.

Lutomysl doesn't have a website or a myspace, so that myspace link is a fan page. They have a pritty intense heavy style, kind of depressive sometimes too. There is only 6 bands from Ukraine on MS! Thats gotta change, hehehe.
Edit: Lutomysl does have a myspace now, http://www.myspace.com/lutomyslofficial

24.02.2009 - warlock84
We are a young band trying to get our name out there and believe this site is a great tool to help with that. We are a true metal band, not that nu-metal or radio friendly junk. We all grew up listening to bands like Pantera, Slayer, Iced Earth, Testament, Kataklysm, Amon Amarth, etc and strive to bring back the old school heavy metal. We hope to record a demo this year and any press, good or bad, would be greatly appreciated.

Heralds of the Sword was created from a life long love of Fantasy based lore, inspirations from extraordinary Power Metal bands such as Rhapsody and ReinXeed, and of course an unending desire to write original and interesting music. Heralds of the Sword is a Fantasy Power Metal band from the United States that brings an original story to life on stage. With a growing and loyal fan base this band is positioned to represent Power Metal in the USA now and in the future.
30.04.2011 - HeinzVeri
this power metal band is really good! you have to listen how play they, the solos are really good, the voice is powerful, the keyboard is full virtuosism, the bass, the drum, all in general is good.

ince the release of "THOUGHTS OF A SECLUDED MIND", the debut album by ONE WITHOUT, which was released by Lifeforce Records in 2009, the band has been touring with Evergrey, Katatonia and The Genitorturers, shared stages with bands like Soulfly, Epica, Doro, Krypteria, Paradise Lost, Carpark North, and All Ends, performed at festivals, performed live in Swedish national radio, received tons of great reviews and has been interviewed and featured in numerous magazines and radio shows all over the world.

IMO it's one of the best metal bands from Romania. Their songs are pretty catchy and their music videos are pretty funny (if you understand Romanian).
01.05.2011 - soldier_of_doom
This is a bullshit band nowadays, used to be one of the best bands in Romania but after the founder of the band decided to sing for money everything fucked up! Also their songs are mostly copied.
02.05.2011 - ravendeath
One of the most impressive gothic metal bands I came around in last years. Too sad that they disbanded in 2010, althought their singer Tommy has a new band called Godex which is also worth checking out. Thora plays very catchy kind of gothic metal in a vein of Dreadful Shadows, Scream Silence, Him and some Paradise Lost influences are also present. You can download their album "Baby no.666" from their labels page for free! Here it's the link: http://www.af-music.de/releases/veroffentlichungen-2006-2008/thora-babyno666/

Under the Heavy Metal influence, the rock band known as LANDSEMK was born in the middle of 2004. Recognized in their country together with the new talents, this group of boys obtained respect from the veterans, bringing with them an innovating and refreshing sound, which when fusioned with the experience of Eduardo Cárdenas and Ignacio Rondon, reached a professional level worthly of national bands like; Gillman, Resistencia, Arkangel, among others...
One year later, consolidated the group, thanks to the extraordinary control of LANDSEMK on the taste of the audience, they tried with international Heavy Metal sharing stage with bands like, Dios Salve la Reina (official QUEEN tribute), The Cash and Social Shit (Argentina), Paul Di'Anno (ex-singer of Iron Maiden), Letz Zep (English band tribute to the pioneers of world-wide hardrock Led Zeppelin), Live Wire (tribute band to AC/DC from USA), Vital Remains (usa), Krisiun (Brasil), Masacre (Colombia) and representing Venezuela next to HELLOWEEN (Germany) at the Poliedro de Caracas. Along its career LANDSEMK also has offered tribute to the legendary bands Iron Maiden and Manowar.
Actually LANDSEMK is one of the most important bands in the venezuelan Metal scene and it's growing up internationally.
28.04.2011 - Lucassen
Because they are sickest fucking band I have ever heard. If anyone of the pussy cut myself emo metal bands that I see plastered as "the next Iron Maiden" had one ounce of the pure metal power that this band exhibits I would be an avid listener. Furthermore anyone that doesn't fucking love this band doesn't love the genre they say they have dedicated their life. Said fuck faced puss brain should be lynched resurrected have their face smashed in and be given a bacterial disease that slowly and painfully eats your flesh away at the same rate that it grows back. The sheer power that the guitars and drums force through your ears and beating your brain should be enough to make death metal fans be a little impressed. The vocals leave nothing to be desired except for a quick replay of the song.
28.04.2011 - peace_sells
Yup! agreed...this band is good metal!
13.10.2012 - Kingface
They have a good number of Albums and if they are officially added I believe the Styles 'Power' and 'Thrash' should also be added to their profile.

This Indian band brings about a fresh approach to black metal. They don't have 'the raw black metal' sound, as their guitars are not as distorted. They concentrate on melodies and progressive rhythmic patterns. The technical proficiency is really top notch, which makes their sound more polished (again, against the norms of traditional black metal). Lyrical themes are mostly based on fiction, hatred, destruction and exploitation of the human race.
30.04.2011 - MechanisT
The bandname and theme sounds interesting. +1 form me.

Music is diverse and as it is like that it needs to have all the tones and shapes that makes the contrast so you can enjoy your listening pleasure...this is a band that as christian is as badass in his sound and deserve a place in the records of MetalStorm.
27.04.2011 - lond
Industrial metal project from members of Napalm Death and Obituary. They definitely deserve to be on Metalstorm despite their short life-span. I recommend their first album 'Embedded' to every open-minded metalhead.
27.04.2011 - SurveyPirate
With 5 albums to date this band is one of the best Metal acts Australia has to offer. They have supported most of the big name overseas Metal acts and continue to do so. They have been around since the mid 90's and continue to fly the Metal flag for us Aussies. They are many times better than many bands already on this wonderful site and I think they deserve to be on here. More Aussie metal bands need to be known more internationally and especially to make this a truly international website and not just full of European and American bands. Only one mans opinion.

Hailing from Andorra, a small country located between France and Spain, Nami are the embodiment of the next great wave of European metal to emerge from the continent. Chances are, a lot of people couldn't even tell you where Nami are from let alone what they sound like, an aspect that has only emboldened the raw beauty of what the band has created. Originally formed by Sergi Verdeguer (Drums) and Jonathan Lemos (Guitarist), the rest of the band's lineup was quickly filled out by Roger Andreu (Vocals), Bernat Argemi (Guitars), and Ricard Tolosa (Bass), while Lemos being replaced by Filipe Baldaia (Guitars) shortly before production commenced on their debut album. For three years, the quintet has been crafting their sound in the shadows of the Pyrenees Mountains. Isolated, contained, and hidden from the rest of an unsuspecting world, they have been preparing to unveil their debut recording with an eager anticipation. After years of seclusion, Nami are finally releasing what can only be described as one of the most impressive independent releases in recent history.
With "Fragile Alignments," Nami has constructed a journey that is rich with emotion and forged by a legitimate heaviness. After completing the initial recording of "Fragile Alignments" the band traveled to Örebro, Sweden where legendary producer Jens Bogren (Opeth, Amon Amarth, Katatonia) put the finishing touches on the project by mixing and mastering the new record. "When I first heard Nami, I was blown away by the strength and maturity from this young act," states Bogren. "Watch out, great metal is climbing down from Andorra." In fact, Bogren's impression of the band is one that's strongly echoed by Year of the Sun president C. Benner. "When I first listened to "Fragile Alignments" I realized that there was something special happening within the first ninety seconds," says Benner. "It was immediate. Then I spoke to the band about the concepts behind the music, it then it really blew me away."
The story arc of "Fragile Alignments" is developed through the choices made by the album's central character "The Man": a representation of our modern humanity. Anchored by the themes of optimism and freedom, the album follows The Man on a secular journey towards his own enlightenment as he clashes with the natural world that surrounds him. "Fragile Alignments" is unique in that the band has layered the album's tracks in an achronological storyboard which essentially allows for multiple stories to be told simply by altering the track listing. It's a concept that makes listening to "Fragile Alignments" a special, unique, and unforgettable experience that goes deeper the further you look under the surface. "We tried to make a loop with the whole CD with the idea of "election" or "choice," explains drummer Sergi Verdeguer. "Every human being can choose their own way and we tried to do that with the music."
In 2011, Nami signed recording deals with Year of the Sun Records (Canada/USA), Kaiowas Records (Spain), and Season of Mist/Klonosphere (France) that will see "Fragile Alignments" be released worldwide in 2011. Aside from the band's spiraling melodies and masterful riffs, Nami has only one request that requires fulfillment: Listen closely.
14.07.2013 - qlacs
Second best thing to come out of Andorra. Not that good, but still a decent effort, around 7/10
26.04.2011 - Quendastil
Although they've done various covers and parodies including pop they're essentially metal. They sing in spanish and their lyrics are humorous and satiric (not too amusing if you don't understand the language and you're not familiar with spanish society and culture). This band could equally fit in MS or the blacklist.
23.04.2011 - The Benighted
Forged of Flesh released their first full length recently, and its a pretty good start to a promising career. The album in question has quite a bit of variation and is pretty spectacular, all in all. They'd be a good addition to a good site.

AraPacis (Ara-Patches) is a female fronted metal band hailing from Montreal, Canada. Formed in 2003 by guitarist Jerry Fielden, their main goal was to re-create some of the orignal aspects of 1970's Hard Rock and Progressive Rock and fuse it together with early 21st Century Progressive, Doom & Gothic Metal to make an interesting metal hybrid. Their debut album ''So Many Leapers'' was released in April of 2006. and their second album ''Consequences Of Dreams'' was released on October 5, 2009. The band is now working on their 3rd album.
22.04.2011 - Jerryfie

Not metalcore... somethin' else. Appeared with the closing track on this femme-metal (voices) compilation http://www.metalstorm.net/bands/album.php?album_id=32808 Third album 'Netherworld' released end of 2011 on Ravenheart Music, and 'Déjà-Vu' EP self-released at end of March, this year (now available for free DL from the band's site, along with about six other older songs) (it appears DV EP is 4 re-recordings of older songs - so you can hear So Many Leapers' title-track twice, and find the advances they've made over 7 years)
