It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".
18.06.2013 - IronArkadius666
The band features 3 members from Isis, another post metal band already on MS, and the vocalist of Deftones.
It is more post-like than Isis and not quite as heavy, but it definitely deserves a place on MS, as it is reminiscent of bands like AtomA.
I believe that a lot of fans of bands like Isis, AtomA, Enshine, Aoria and other bands in that vein of music will greatly appreciate this band.
29.06.2013 - SyFFiLiS
"Heavy, stargazing rock outfit Palms was forged out of an explosive collision, as Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno joined forces with critically-lauded post-metal group ISIS". This should be enough said to add this band on MS.
04.07.2013 - tea[m]ster
Album is fantastic, put it on here!
07.07.2013 - Unhealer
Liking this album more and more each listen!
28.07.2013 - psykometal
Didn't hear any metal in this at all when I listened.
03.10.2013 - 3rdWorld
-1. And i do agree with Mr.Database manager. There isn't any metal in this at all. No need to die to get it added in here, cuz this doesn't deserve a place here. Not to mention their really crappy and bland debut. Pfft. >:(
24.10.2013 - ScreamingSteelUS
I don't understand why people insist on associating post-rock with metal. There is no metal here.
29.12.2013 - Zaphod
Agreed, no reason to be on MS. Then again, they added Anneke Van Giersbergen just because she has been in metal bands...
24.05.2012 - The Benighted
Corelia are a burgeoning progressive/technical metal band with a single EP under their belts. With a sound not unlike Protest the Hero and The Human Abstract, they've come across some especially interesting ideas along the way, with a stunning selection of songs, to boot. 'Nostalgia' was released in 2011, and I've been listening ever since. Highly recommended.
09.09.2013 - LeKiwi
Not unlike Periphery's heavier moments...not bad
02.10.2013 - BaneConall
They are working on a full length now. Hopefully soon.
17.03.2014 - Dead In Hell
I have to say, the sound IS unlike Protest the Hero. The only way these bands sound alike is if you've never heard progressive metal before. Corelia is doing something entirely different, something that is much more amenable to fans of the genre and not just tweens taking a break from their Miley Cyrus playlists.
Anyway, Corelia deserves to be included on the site. Nostalgia is a phenomenal release that has garnered the band a lot of well-deserved attention and acclaim. If the upcoming album is of the same quality, it's going to take the genre by storm.
02.12.2009 - Bastard Child
London based and out to offend everyone. Featuring members of Damnas and Inner Rage River Frehney have terrorized the UK underground with their no holds bar offensive comedy and hardcore thrash. Have played with ArnoCorps, Ring Wrom and Evile, toured with Nebukadnezza and have a number of EP's released.
05.06.2013 - psykometal
Needs at least one full length.
24.03.2014 - Northern Danger
Psyko why? In metalstorm we have so many bands who have only EPs and splits. I think that's no condition....
27.01.2010 - ArcticWolf
Fastway are a British heavy metal band formed by guitarist, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, formerly of Motörhead, and bassist, Pete Way, formerly of UFO.
Don't think I need more reasons to explain why the band needs to be part of MS? Do You? I bet most of Motörhead and UFO fans are familiar with Fastway or know something about the band.
In addition, I am not able to find there official site, however I provided a link to there myspace page.
27.01.2010 - DayFly
AOR of the sticky, shmalzy kind
24.10.2013 - onedh
Fastway should be included in metalstorm.com ASAP. "Fast" Eddie Clarke delivers atrue amount of oldschool Heavy Metal. Also this band has been an influence for many other bands.
20.03.2009 - Yossarian
Info in English here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Suaves
They should be here as Spain is a kind of important country as regards metal fans and this band is together with another 4 or 5 the most famous hard rock and rock band in the territory. Above all from Madrid northwards. They only reason why outsiders don't know them is the fact that they sing in Spanish. Otherwise, they would be popular enough for you.
Their music style is quite similar to The Ramones, Motorhead...The voice is let's say "peculiar". They are still active after 28 years and still selling out venues.
Their website appears to be in maintenance now.
12.06.2011 - SceneryOfLoss
Stamina is a french metal band founded by the keyboardist Gildas Vijay ROUSSEAU. In 2006 they released their debut album "Mess'Age" and currently work on the second album "Via Crucis".
10.04.2013 - JefferyTotterdell
Great up and coming band, with a bit of reggae and Latin mixed in, which is groovy
First Ep of three albums and the progression is really good.
These types of bands have been doing really well lately.
But the music tells the real story so have a listen, a few live performances on YouTube.
27.03.2014 - Giza
Amazing Progressive/Alternative Metal band. Sounds like a mix of Meshuggah and Faith No More.
13.07.2012 - Steve Rowland
This is a pretty good band from Québec. They're pretty well known and good in the genre. I'm actually surprised this band isn't on this site already. A listen to this song should help convincing you :
21.02.2014 - The Evergreen
+1, and I too am surprised to find them in the list of sugestions.

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.
28.07.2013 - psykometal
Needs at least one full length.
24.11.2013 - LeKiwi
Ugh those weak screams...a better vocalist would be a huge improvement.
03.03.2010 - FrostFlame
Slash's Snakepit was a rock band which was a side-project formed by then-Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Slash (Saul Hudson) in 1994. On their first album, Matt Sorum (drums), Gilby Clarke (rhythm guitar) and Dizzy Reed (keyboard) from Guns N' Roses played in this band. On bass was Mike Inez of Alice in Chains and Eric Dover (who had previously played guitar for Jellyfish) sang lead vocals.
GN'R colleague Teddy Andreadis also appeared on the record playing harmonica & keyboards.
03.03.2010 - DayFly
Honestly, this stuff has too much boogie to call it metal. Maybe if Aerosmith were here...
30.12.2009 - drpaxton
This band is worth listening to to all who like heavy music. They play a very unique kind of music, you can call it alternative rock, or hard rock, with one the most talented lead singers out there.
15.03.2011 - WingedOctopi
Amazing band, fans of Tool should like this.
05.01.2012 - hadriel
This band needs to be added. Similar bands like dredg and Fair to Midland have been added to the site, rightfully so should these guys. Not to mention that their music is stellar! ;)
12.04.2012 - Nicoline
With 2,4 million listens registered on last.fm, this band cannot be ignored. I hope to read reviews and updates on Rishloo from MS in the future.
05.12.2010 - Grave Digger 87
Lutomysl doesn't have a website or a myspace, so that myspace link is a fan page. They have a pritty intense heavy style, kind of depressive sometimes too. There is only 6 bands from Ukraine on MS! Thats gotta change, hehehe.
Edit: Lutomysl does have a myspace now, http://www.myspace.com/lutomyslofficial
27.12.2012 - LaineJ
Great band, one of my favourite bm band
05.04.2013 - DarkSymphony500
Atmospheric/Doom Metal band with gothic influences. They get the influences from bands such as Draconian, Agalloch, Shape of Despair, Saturnus and Tristania. They have released 2 EPs and a full-length album 'Errances' (2012).
22.03.2014 - RavenV.
Exceptionally atmopsheric doom band. Hope they will be soon part of the database.
24.02.2009 - warlock84
We are a young band trying to get our name out there and believe this site is a great tool to help with that. We are a true metal band, not that nu-metal or radio friendly junk. We all grew up listening to bands like Pantera, Slayer, Iced Earth, Testament, Kataklysm, Amon Amarth, etc and strive to bring back the old school heavy metal. We hope to record a demo this year and any press, good or bad, would be greatly appreciated.
08.06.2011 - in GRAVE
they are a good progressive metal band and they are influenced in dream theater and symphony x
16.05.2012 - Oracles
There one of those hidden European Prog Metal bands that are from a country who produces little to zero good metal bands and they signed with an unknown record company that is making them go unnoticed. But if everything goes good, this band has immense future. Their major influence is Dream Theater.
Tree of Life ,
The Land of Lights.
All of which you can find on youtube.
10.02.2011 - Karnage
This band just released their debut full-length " Infected With Violence" on Butchered Records. They have an official forum on thrashunlimited.com. Definitely keep an eye on these guys.
01.11.2011 - Guib
Awesome fucking band, must be added !
09.02.2011 - Bigpaul
Really good modern death metal with Melodic death touches. Vocals sound a bit 'core-ish at times but thankfully their debut album Relentless is free of the pointless breakdowns that have ruined many a potentially decent tune over the last few years. Have a listen and decide for yourselves!
24.02.2011 - munson
Love their album. Vocal kinds suck, but they riff the fuck out of every song.
09.02.2011 - petaire
This band is one of the pioneers of Swedish Hardcore and Post-Hardcore. It was formed in 1993 and ended in 2007, released 4 full length albums and 2 eps. The question is: why isn't it already on Metal Storm?
10.02.2011 - Meller
Probably because few poeple know of them, even more few care enough. To be honest, I've never thought 'em being great band, although not bad either, but I remember one summer when their album Venom embittered the atmosphere of that gloomy august very sweetly and effectively. So' I think it's time to give people chance to get themself familiar with Breach.
08.02.2011 - Tangerine
One of the most fun, interesting, and well done Folk Metal bands I've ever heard.
Everything is done so well, is just mind blowing how they arn't huge already...
The name of Beer Bear must go out!
08.02.2011 - ravendeath
This is one man project, making very depressive kind of mostly instrumental dark metal with various influences. Worth the listen! Of course you can download both of the albums for free from their myspace page!
07.02.2011 - kahn84
It was a great surprise to me when I discover this band,
Cause is a very good band, that have an amazing sound, a lot of catchy choruses and melodies, and a great work done on production and vocals (and in the instrumental side too).
Their debut album, FORCE OF NATURE is among the top 2010 of the Portuguese radio VIA NOCTURNA, leaving behind bands like Angra, Avantasia or Phenomena.
Just listen to Idol's Grace or Hail Mary... I'm sure that you'll be convinced!
(Sorry for my english ;)
07.02.2011 - dekhruel
Great Death/Black metal band from Quebec city Canada. Aggressive and brutal stuff. Their 1st EP only have good quotes and they are working on their 1st album. Their EP ''Heretical Halitosis'' is nominated for the Clandestine Cut Of The Year - Metal Storm Awards 2010.
07.02.2011 - MoraWintersoul
Well, they're not your typical young local band, they already have two long-play albums out, they've toured Bosnia as well as Serbia (which is not very common for bands to do here) and have three videos out. They're one of the more recognized bands in the growing Serbian metal scene.
06.02.2011 - hollci
This band rised in November 1992 and it comes from state which is situated in middle of the Europa. Its name is Slovakia and town, which is surrounded of mountains in the north is Martin.
DISLOYAL concerted a little (for the last time in March) because it very often change its members but unfortunately it exist up to now.
DISLOYAL is oriented for creation other songs and work in recording studio where once in a while originated album…
This situation exists till the present day. It is due to sad and tragic event, too. It was accident which very intervened my life, existence and other life of band because in that time tragic deceased two friends and new members of DISLOAYL – Karin and Pavel.
IN MEMORY OF KARIN AND PAVEL
05.02.2011 - marouco
It's a powerfull Thrash Metal war machine that brings the old spirit of satanic lyrics and dirty sound like old Kreator, Destruction, Sadus.
Just released the 2nd full lengh "Merciless jaws From Hell"
Many people here will enjoy it...hopefully..:)
Also have ex member of the mighty MURO
16.12.2011 - Yossarian
As marouco said, two of their members -bassist and vocals/guitar- have been members of Muro, accredited pioneer band in the Spanish Thrash Metal scene together with catalonian band "Fuck Off" back in the mid eighties. In fact, Julito the bass was in Muro all along the band 15 years' history. Muro is already in Metal Storm. They also played in several other bands as well as the other guitarrist has been also in other known Spanish bands. Omission have a couple of cd's already and they are planning to released the third in April. They make old school Thrash-Speed metal trying even to adjust the production to that distinctive aggressive sound
05.02.2011 - Telcontar
Because they are on of the better serbian bands, better then some already on the site. Because they're new album is highly anticipated. And because they played on Serbia's largest festival Exit 3 times, Graviton fest in Slovenia ...
03.02.2011 - yeah1980
I don't know about the previous releases, but the last album "Elementary" is a very good mix of many genres: metal, mathcore, ambient... withOUT nu-metal stuff inside at all.
It is a very fresh style derived from many good sources!
03.02.2011 - inmate
Very hardworking band, live band, preformed 3 times at Metalcamp festival, in 2010 played two concert with Dark Tranquillity on their tour. They had also concerts in Austria, Croatia, Germany. But still without debut album, they are recording it at the moment. It will be released in the end of 2011.
03.02.2011 - The rEd dEvIL
1-The band's material is reminiscent of BLACK SABBATH, URIAH HEEP, early SCORPIONS and JETHRO TULL,
2- this music isn't all that innovative or adventurous, but it is delivered with such gusto it's hard not to love it,
3-it 's a great stuff for fanatics of the bands mentioned above (SABBATH, HEEP, TULL). which i am of course
02.02.2011 - hanspeterdill
