It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

Insense deserves to be on Metal Storm because they are not much known outside of norway. Insense is a fantastic bands and should be heard by so many others than just norwegians that are interested in that kind of music.
The vocalist/guitarist Tommy Hjelm also plays with Benea Reach sometimes

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".

Kudos for un-blacklisting them! Let's open our minds!
They play live in metal festivals, have members from other metal bands in Japan (check the bio of their band members), and, on top of all, are actually a pretty decent group.

They were un-blacklisted? Kudos, MS. - The touring band don't lack metal cred either - guitarist #1 tours with Marty Friedman and guitarist #2 is Galneryus's ex-bassist

AraPacis (Ara-Patches) is a female fronted metal band hailing from Montreal, Canada. Formed in 2003 by guitarist Jerry Fielden, their main goal was to re-create some of the orignal aspects of 1970's Hard Rock and Progressive Rock and fuse it together with early 21st Century Progressive, Doom & Gothic Metal to make an interesting metal hybrid. Their debut album ''So Many Leapers'' was released in April of 2006. and their second album ''Consequences Of Dreams'' was released on October 5, 2009. The band is now working on their 3rd album.

AraPacis is more Classic/Prog Metal than Metalcore, AraPacis has shared the stage with The Agonist, Raven and Anvil, amongst other bands.

Appeared with the closing track on this femme-metal (voices) compilation http://www.metalstorm.net/bands/album.php?album_id=32808 Third album 'Netherworld' released end of 2011 on Ravenheart Music, and 'Déjà-Vu' EP self-released at end of March, this year (now available for free DL from the band's site, along with about six other older songs) (it appears DV EP is 4 re-recordings of older songs - so you can hear So Many Leapers' title-track twice, and find the advances they've made over 7 years)

Bless The Child belongs on Metal Storm, They have personally revitalized the death metal scene in Columbus, Ohio by establishing themselves as one of the most brutal acts in the region, responsible for selling out venues as the only local support for the biggest names within the national touring death metal circuit. Responsible for one of the biggest walls of death the Newport Music Hall has ever seen- BLESS THE CHILD commands notice in sound and sight. With every passing day their visibility among the top death metal acts continues to grow. Check out the biography below to see why.
Born out of a desire for a more aggressive and intricate sound than what is being currently offered in industry, BLESS THE CHILD stands out in speed, thrash, heavy groove, melody, and violent breakdowns.
Sweeping onto Columbus scene in 2008, Bless the Child quickly gained a following with their unique mix of high intensity, brutality, well-structured melody, and a style of writing that comes naturally to vocalist Brian "Jonesy" Jones , Mark Crumpler on guitar/vocals,Derek Young and Drake Tulloh on guitars, Mark Evans behind the kit, and Steve Shelini on bass.
Bless The Child's attention getting sound recently landed them a coveted feature on Maritime's Recording's Monuments Compilation CD with acts like Bleeding Through, Meshuggah, Winds of Plague, God Forbid, All Shall Perish, Misery Signals and many, many more.
Recently, the band unleashed two new tracks from their forthcoming album entitled, Unveiling Retribution currently streaming on the band's Facebook page.
Produced by Bobby Leonard at Paper Tiger Studios (Attack Attack, The Crimson Armada, and Of Mice and Men), Unveiling Retribution is a visceral expression of Bless The Child's darkest emotions and moments of personal turmoil through a blistering death metal sound scape. The album is set to descend upon the awaiting ears of the world on Halloween night, October 31, 2011.

The most importan thing is that they play metal music. They have an interesting atmospheric shoegaze sound that combines some electronic elements like drum machines but without sounding too excentric. This along with the most traditional black metal of this kind. I want to review the last album too since they have been active for a while. In my opinion they have more merit than many other more popular bands. Like I said: I want to review the album These Mournful Days and see if it maybe has a change to belong to the top black atmospheric shoegaze metal albums of the year if that category really exist.

Insuna are a multi-cultural, female-fronted metal band with members from countries as different as Peru, UK and Estonia - the singer (myself) is from MetalStorm's home town, Tallinn! We are currently based in Cardiff (Wales) and are building up a steady following in the surrounding area with frequent gigging and thorough online promotion. We understand the need for bands to work together with other bands, promoters, venues and media of all kinds to support the metal scene and promote and help each other for the good of the music we all love. We aim to take our live shows further in the future with the eventual goal of playing in other countries so more people can hear our music.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0zu_Uv9wlM&feature=related this is the bands most awesome song ever asantusta aatma(which means unsatisfied spirit). Though the band does not have many songs and most of them are average this one is fucking exceptional. The song seems like an average black metal song but takes a fucking u turn when melodic guitar playing starts and the transition is quite good. The solo is like of any old metal band but goes exceptional well with the song. Though the vocals are okay the lyrics are fucking amazing and so haunting, the song itself scares the shit out of me.
The lyrics in Nepali is
Hridaya maa taato angaar balirahecha (hatred is burning in my inner self)
Mero laash mero agaadi aahaaraa jhai paakirahecha(my corpse is burning in front of me)
Ma kamjor asaahaya bhai antya herna baadhya chu(I am week and I am forced to see the end of me)
Samaya le batyayera lyaeko ( time brought me here)
Yo jiwan ko maya jaalmaa(in this illusion of life)
Thesh khadai ramaudai gantabya ko khoji maa (enjoying misery and searching for my destination)
Hideko belaa....(I traveled)
Mero ghau ko malham ra baato ko saathi bani(you became the potion to cure my wounds and a friend for my journey)
Mero kaal taile malai gahiro nindra maa bhulaayis (you got me lost in a deep trance/sleep)
Katthar sari dhaad maa chakku ropis (like a coward you stabbed me in the back)
Sugandhit gantabya ko sugandha maa (finaly found my destination)
Bharkhar ramaye thiye... (Finally felt the joy)
Laamo yatra pachi, bharkhar sustaye thiye (finally had time to rest and see life)
Eh! kaal...k saahit paaris? (Did you do well? get satisfied?)
Kaal kurne thiye tero laagi (I was going to wait for you death)
Aaune thiyis aghi aayi kina judhenas(why didn't you come when I wanted you to come)
Saathi bani dhokha ko ganaune gandha kina sungayis(you became my friend but why did you let me smell the foul smell of betrayal ?)
Satru jhai kina ladenas(why didn't you fight as an enemy?)
Mero khokolo mastiska ra jaliraheko laash bata (from my free soul and burning corpse)
Ghrina niskanecha... (hatred is going to spew out)
Khappar ko aawaaz le kaal tarsanecha (the voice of my soul is going to scare death itself)
Hey Kaal aaija(death come to me)
Mero ghau sahera dekha(feel my pain)
Hey Kaal aaija(death come to me)
Mero baato hidera dekha(walk my path and see for yourself)
Hey Kaal aaija(death come to me)
Mero taal maa naachera dekha(dance to the rhythm of my life and see for yourself)
Hey Kaal aaija(death come to me)
Mero jiwan baachera dekha(live my life and see for yourself)
Hey Kaal aaija(death come to me)
Malai feri maarera dekha(try to kill me again)
(Nepali words in English text)
The song is fucking scary, it starts off with the sound of wood burning during cremation (funeral procession in Nepal) and then you can hear a woman and a child crying. Then you can hear the song of a conch shell being blown (which is blown in a funeral procession) than the song starts.
The song is about pure fucking revenge and how the soul of this person is angered and wants his revenge against death for taking his life. The spirit observes its own body being cremated and the spirit describes the negativity that is going to come out of the burning corpse, so foul that death itself is going to be scared of it.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Industrial Melodic Metal Band EDGE OF PARADISE Gear Up To Reek Havoc On The World With Forthcoming Debut Release MASK!
The Los Angeles based female-fronted metal band, Edge Of Paradise, are ready to set the world aflame, with a worldwide digital sales premiere on Loudtrax of their debut CD, Mask.
Check it out here: http://www.loudtrax.com/Artist/EdgeOfParadise .
Edge Of Paradise is fronted by the stunning Margarita Monet who delivers potent yet melodic vocals along with virtuoso keyboard playing that adds a unique classical flair to the band's sonic metal assault.
Combine that with the ferocious fretwork of guitarist Dave Bates who intertwines compelling leads and bombastic riffs and you've got a band that offers something highly refreshing in today's modern metal sound-scape.
Mask also features guest appearances by renowned session drummer Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth, Don Henley and major session drummer for hit-TV and movie soundtracks) and bassist extraordinaire Tony Franklin (The Firm, Glenn Hughes, Blue Murder, Roy Harper) who prove to be the ultimate rhythm section when it comes to the hard-edged rock sounds contained on the debut recordings.
Other guests on the CD include bassist Bjorn Englen (Yngwie Malmsteen), drummer Craig Anderson and backing vocals from Robin McCauley (MSG) who also co-wrote most the songs along with Dave and Margarita, and cutting-edge songwriter Ryan Jones.
Edge of Paradise was formed in the beginning of 2011 from the ashes of Dave Bates' former band Bleed, which was fronted by Robin McAauley. The influences on the CD are incredibly diverse, and have been pegged as "Industrial Melodic Chaos". Margarita states "it has always been my vision to create music that will be around for a while and I feel like we have really achieved that with Mask." The band plans to tour the US at the start of the year 2012, to promote Mask. Along with Margarita and Dave, drummer Kevin Katich and bassist Steven Cook will round off the live band.
Mask features 9 stellar tracks, highlighted by "Falling Down," "Tail Of The Gun," the title track "Mask," and modern-day power ballad "We Breath".

Winner of Budweiser 2nd Skin Rock contest in Quebec. Very close to Deathstars and Cradle of Filth with some elements of Marilyn Manson maybe. They have already realesed two album and one video clip. Not very new but really good nonetheless.

In memory of Andrew "Mac" McDermott's (ex-Threshold) untimely passing, going back and rediscovering this band was a jewel for me to hear. I feel many fans of Threshold, and those looking for a truly underrated band need to know they existed and whose CDs can still be purchased, if they want. I also feel MetalStorm should list earlier bands from our most favorite/popular musicians, like Roy Khan's (ex-Kamelot) earlier band, Conception. They may not exist, but they should not be forgotten.

Overwhelming visual and sound impact, they merge metal and techno, together with non-conventional, highly critical, destabilizing urgent lirics in Italian.
I highly recommend them.
