It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

Great instrumental progressive band with 1 EP out so far. Sounds very promising.

And they released first LP this year, Bilo 3.0, and it's awesome!

Insense deserves to be on Metal Storm because they are not much known outside of norway. Insense is a fantastic bands and should be heard by so many others than just norwegians that are interested in that kind of music.
The vocalist/guitarist Tommy Hjelm also plays with Benea Reach sometimes

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".

....uhhhh, which planet are you living on?

Ace Of Hearts is a "supergroup" with members of Secret Sphere, Icon & the Black Roses and Odd Dimension, his debut album "Monster" is a MUST for the fans of the genre!

"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.

Kudos for un-blacklisting them! Let's open our minds!
They play live in metal festivals, have members from other metal bands in Japan (check the bio of their band members), and, on top of all, are actually a pretty decent group.

They were un-blacklisted? Kudos, MS. - The touring band don't lack metal cred either - guitarist #1 tours with Marty Friedman and guitarist #2 is Galneryus's ex-bassist

AraPacis (Ara-Patches) is a female fronted metal band hailing from Montreal, Canada. Formed in 2003 by guitarist Jerry Fielden, their main goal was to re-create some of the orignal aspects of 1970's Hard Rock and Progressive Rock and fuse it together with early 21st Century Progressive, Doom & Gothic Metal to make an interesting metal hybrid. Their debut album ''So Many Leapers'' was released in April of 2006. and their second album ''Consequences Of Dreams'' was released on October 5, 2009. The band is now working on their 3rd album.

AraPacis is more Classic/Prog Metal than Metalcore, AraPacis has shared the stage with The Agonist, Raven and Anvil, amongst other bands.

Not metalcore... somethin' else. Appeared with the closing track on this femme-metal (voices) compilation http://www.metalstorm.net/bands/album.php?album_id=32808 Third album 'Netherworld' released end of 2011 on Ravenheart Music, and 'Déjà-Vu' EP self-released at end of March, this year (now available for free DL from the band's site, along with about six other older songs) (it appears DV EP is 4 re-recordings of older songs - so you can hear So Many Leapers' title-track twice, and find the advances they've made over 7 years)

Decay called Necrofuneral was formed in one late autumn evening in 2005. Founding members - Necrolust (vocals) and Nocturnal started an era of this putrid horde. Some time later, new souls possessed by black metal joined the band. Their names were Igor (bass, guitar) and Mor (guitar). Immediately after their arrival Nocturnal left the band due to personal problems. The same year Necrofuneral - Necrolust, Igor and Mor recorded first mini demo called - „Humans getting lost in flames of hellish plague". There was only one song on this demo. In 2006 new rotting soul Funebris (drums) joined the band. However there were some disagreements between the members and Igor left the group. He was replaced by Nocturnal who played with Necrofuneral in 2005. Rehearsing of new songs started. Mor also left and started to devote to his second band. There was still need for bass guitar player so vocalist Necrolust took care of that by playing bass line himself. In second half of 2006 Necrofuneral recorded new mini demo called - „Rotting Nuns". This demo had strong and rotting sound just like the band imagined. This demo represented real and true "black" feeling. After the record Nocturnal again left the band. Necrofuneral consisted of Necrolust and Funebris. However they didn't give up and kept on spreading this "rot". Necrolust put away the bass guitar and he started to play guitar. At the end of 2006 third demo was recorded. Demo consisted of a few tracks and was entitled - „Fucking Rehearsal". As the year 2007 started new bass guitar player Putredo joined the band. Necrofuneral was complete but there were some difficulties with the rehearsal room. They had to move to another but there wasn't any. So Necrofuneral was forced to end with rehearsals...In the end of this fucking era, another rare demo came to an existence, titled "Fuck you...Jesus Christ". Almost one year of this silence passed and in 2008 there was a break through. Necrofuneral rose from the dungeons and started to spread the stench of decay - of rotting corpses. There were again some changes in the setup. Necrolust (guitar, vocals) Funebris (drums) and new member Warlock (guitar). That year the band started to perform live and as a help bass guitar player Nerghal joined them...
In the same year (2008) band published their fourth demo recorded from a live performance. Demo contained five tracks and despite the filthy or incomprehensible sound of the CD the record got the attention of the public. It was the last record of "rotting"Necrofuneral in 2008. After few months Warlock (guitar) left and Necrofuneral Published demo EP called - "Thorn of Doom" that contained new and old songs also. Again there were difficulties with the rehearsal room and the period of silence returned... It is year 2009 and Necrolust (vocals, guitar) is again on the scene. From the former SETUP only Necrolust and Nerghal stayed. New member was Damianangel - guitarist from the Demonoid Virtue. He was also playing live performances. Funebris couldn't play because he was abroad. So Necrolust started to program the drums, so Necrofuneral didn't have drummer. Immediately after the start of rehearsing a new demo EP called "Rotting Nuns"was recorded, which contained remastered older tracks and some bonuses. After a while Nerghal left the band...
Short period passed and new bass guitar player Morbid came on the scene. After his arrival the band started to prepare their strongly anticipated material called - "Church in Flames"one of their most sovereign materials of their career... They also started to spread the stench of rotting corpses by the live performances and also Necrofuneral started to prepare for the first video for the song Church in Flames

They have a nice progressive metal sound, I think it's quite distinct. Their music is inspired and talented. They have released at least 1 CD so far. I think they have a successful future if they continue in this direction. It should be included here on Metal Storm. (Though I couldn't find their official website.)

SHAMALL is the moniker used by German composer and multi-instrumentalist Norbert Krueler, a highly influential DJ in Germany by trade and a passionate part-time musician to boot.
His first artistic creations came to be in 1986, at that time heavily tinged by various forms of mainstream electronic music. His first ventures were rather successful from a commercial point of view, but Krueler's artistic aspirations weren't totally satisfied by these first creations. As a long time fan of bands like Pink Floyd, Marillion as well as the Krautrock of his native Germany, his works slowly but steadily started incorporating more and more of these influences in his musical endeavours - with a particular emphasis on Pink Floyd.
In the last few years a somewhat stronger emphasis on acoustic instruments have been added to his musical palette, along with the inclusion of Krautrock -inspired musical elements.

2007 product of UK Thrash scene that year but always against the grain and barely fitted in. Spotted by Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir etc) supporting Napalm in the midlands and dragged into the studio to record an EP called Saltergate in 08 - widley acclaimed and received. Limited shows since but now have an album on the way to be recorded with Russ and released in 2012. Could be very exciting release.

A great new band. A perfect fit for MS. Personally I think this band has created one of the (maybe) best album of 2011. Cold Moon Over Babylon. Let's welcome Vulvagun to MS folks.

The band sites their style as 'Majestic orchestral doom with choirs, death, gothic, funeral doom and power metal influences'. Clean male and female vocals exist along with male grunts. The band has made one album 'Serpentine Dreamweaver' (2000) featuring Katarina Lilja of Therion, and a demo 'Shattered Fields' (2002).

Side project of Root's boss Big Boss is full of original, experimental, but still highly enjoyable songwriting. Whole project is based on the monstrous sci-fi/fantasy/mythical story about the mage Equirhodont. Epic atmosphere is guaranted.

Avenie is an atmospheric melodic metal band from Tampere, Finland. The live line-up is completed by three session members.

The best Polish pagan black metal band from Lublin, formed in 1991. The most recent full-length album "Trioditis" (2010) simply crushed me... Abusiveness existed in the deep underground. There isn't MySpace page or even official website, so check out this band on youtube.
