It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

The band features 3 members from Isis, another post metal band already on MS, and the vocalist of Deftones.
It is more post-like than Isis and not quite as heavy, but it definitely deserves a place on MS, as it is reminiscent of bands like AtomA.
I believe that a lot of fans of bands like Isis, AtomA, Enshine, Aoria and other bands in that vein of music will greatly appreciate this band.
29.06.2013 - SyFFiLiS
"Heavy, stargazing rock outfit Palms was forged out of an explosive collision, as Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno joined forces with critically-lauded post-metal group ISIS". This should be enough said to add this band on MS.

Album is fantastic, put it on here!
07.07.2013 - Unhealer
Liking this album more and more each listen!
28.07.2013 - psykometal
Didn't hear any metal in this at all when I listened.
03.10.2013 - 3rdWorld
-1. And i do agree with Mr.Database manager. There isn't any metal in this at all. No need to die to get it added in here, cuz this doesn't deserve a place here. Not to mention their really crappy and bland debut. Pfft. >:(
24.10.2013 - ScreamingSteelUS
I don't understand why people insist on associating post-rock with metal. There is no metal here.
29.12.2013 - Zaphod
Agreed, no reason to be on MS. Then again, they added Anneke Van Giersbergen just because she has been in metal bands...
24.05.2012 - The Benighted
Corelia are a burgeoning progressive/technical metal band with a single EP under their belts. With a sound not unlike Protest the Hero and The Human Abstract, they've come across some especially interesting ideas along the way, with a stunning selection of songs, to boot. 'Nostalgia' was released in 2011, and I've been listening ever since. Highly recommended.
02.12.2009 - Bastard Child
London based and out to offend everyone. Featuring members of Damnas and Inner Rage River Frehney have terrorized the UK underground with their no holds bar offensive comedy and hardcore thrash. Have played with ArnoCorps, Ring Wrom and Evile, toured with Nebukadnezza and have a number of EP's released.
05.06.2013 - psykometal
Needs at least one full length.

Fastway are a British heavy metal band formed by guitarist, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, formerly of Motörhead, and bassist, Pete Way, formerly of UFO.
Don't think I need more reasons to explain why the band needs to be part of MS? Do You? I bet most of Motörhead and UFO fans are familiar with Fastway or know something about the band.
In addition, I am not able to find there official site, however I provided a link to there myspace page.
27.01.2010 - DayFly
AOR of the sticky, shmalzy kind
24.10.2013 - onedh
Fastway should be included in metalstorm.com ASAP. "Fast" Eddie Clarke delivers atrue amount of oldschool Heavy Metal. Also this band has been an influence for many other bands.
20.03.2009 - Yossarian
Info in English here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Suaves
They should be here as Spain is a kind of important country as regards metal fans and this band is together with another 4 or 5 the most famous hard rock and rock band in the territory. Above all from Madrid northwards. They only reason why outsiders don't know them is the fact that they sing in Spanish. Otherwise, they would be popular enough for you.
Their music style is quite similar to The Ramones, Motorhead...The voice is let's say "peculiar". They are still active after 28 years and still selling out venues.
Their website appears to be in maintenance now.

Stamina is a french metal band founded by the keyboardist Gildas Vijay ROUSSEAU. In 2006 they released their debut album "Mess'Age" and currently work on the second album "Via Crucis".

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.

24.11.2013 - LeKiwi
Ugh those weak screams...a better vocalist would be a huge improvement.
10.04.2013 - JefferyTotterdell
Great up and coming band, with a bit of reggae and Latin mixed in, which is groovy
First Ep of three albums and the progression is really good.
These types of bands have been doing really well lately.
But the music tells the real story so have a listen, a few live performances on YouTube.
24.02.2009 - warlock84
We are a young band trying to get our name out there and believe this site is a great tool to help with that. We are a true metal band, not that nu-metal or radio friendly junk. We all grew up listening to bands like Pantera, Slayer, Iced Earth, Testament, Kataklysm, Amon Amarth, etc and strive to bring back the old school heavy metal. We hope to record a demo this year and any press, good or bad, would be greatly appreciated.
13.07.2012 - Steve Rowland
This is a pretty good band from Québec. They're pretty well known and good in the genre. I'm actually surprised this band isn't on this site already. A listen to this song should help convincing you :
21.02.2014 - The Evergreen
+1, and I too am surprised to find them in the list of sugestions.
03.03.2010 - FrostFlame
Slash's Snakepit was a rock band which was a side-project formed by then-Guns N' Roses lead guitarist Slash (Saul Hudson) in 1994. On their first album, Matt Sorum (drums), Gilby Clarke (rhythm guitar) and Dizzy Reed (keyboard) from Guns N' Roses played in this band. On bass was Mike Inez of Alice in Chains and Eric Dover (who had previously played guitar for Jellyfish) sang lead vocals.
GN'R colleague Teddy Andreadis also appeared on the record playing harmonica & keyboards.
03.03.2010 - DayFly
Honestly, this stuff has too much boogie to call it metal. Maybe if Aerosmith were here...
30.12.2009 - drpaxton
This band is worth listening to to all who like heavy music. They play a very unique kind of music, you can call it alternative rock, or hard rock, with one the most talented lead singers out there.
15.03.2011 - WingedOctopi
Amazing band, fans of Tool should like this.
05.01.2012 - hadriel
This band needs to be added. Similar bands like dredg and Fair to Midland have been added to the site, rightfully so should these guys. Not to mention that their music is stellar! ;)
12.04.2012 - Nicoline
With 2,4 million listens registered on last.fm, this band cannot be ignored. I hope to read reviews and updates on Rishloo from MS in the future.
05.04.2013 - DarkSymphony500
Atmospheric/Doom Metal band with gothic influences. They get the influences from bands such as Draconian, Agalloch, Shape of Despair, Saturnus and Tristania. They have released 2 EPs and a full-length album 'Errances' (2012).
05.12.2010 - Grave Digger 87
Lutomysl doesn't have a website or a myspace, so that myspace link is a fan page. They have a pritty intense heavy style, kind of depressive sometimes too. There is only 6 bands from Ukraine on MS! Thats gotta change, hehehe.
Edit: Lutomysl does have a myspace now, http://www.myspace.com/lutomyslofficial
27.12.2012 - LaineJ
Great band, one of my favourite bm band
08.06.2011 - in GRAVE
they are a good progressive metal band and they are influenced in dream theater and symphony x
16.05.2012 - Oracles
There one of those hidden European Prog Metal bands that are from a country who produces little to zero good metal bands and they signed with an unknown record company that is making them go unnoticed. But if everything goes good, this band has immense future. Their major influence is Dream Theater.
Tree of Life ,
The Land of Lights.
All of which you can find on youtube.
22.02.2014 - BoneQueen
This new band looks very promising, listening to the teaser of their upcoming album. It also consists of musicians from The Sins Of Thy Beloved and Midnattsol - both of which are well known in the genre, but
somewhat inactive at the moment.
12.02.2014 - ATmetal
This is very powerful professional band from Ukraine, Nikolaev. They have already released LP "Are You Ready?" with 12 tracks of pure metal. Album sounds very fresh and dynamic - fast and aggressive riffs, powerful drums and very strong vocal (James Hetfield style :)
Progredior has thousands fans in Ukraine, big amount of followers in VKontakte, Facebook and Twitter.
11.02.2014 - Mrtvozornik
Upwards of Endtime is from the Northeastern United States, and plays occult heavy metal. The band's vocalist Phil Swanson is one of the most unique vocalists. The way he puts his vocal melodies together and the lyrics he writes are truly brilliant. The band deals with Satan, Paganism and death, and they do this to reject Christianity. They embrace Satan and talk about the mythological places in hell. This fits perfectly into the atmosphere the band creates; unlike a lot of heavy metal bands, they focusing more on an atmosphere rather than sweeping hooks and being epic. Don't expect any huge hooks or catchy choruses through the albums, but do expect absolutely superb songwriting. Upwards of Endtime knows when and how to keep their music atmospheric and when to keep the fist pumping heavy metal riffs. If you want some high quality new heavy metal that is intrinsically evil, this is the band for you.

Back in the early 90´s Vorax was a pretty unknown Metal band in Argentina, then in late 1996 or so, Ricardo Iorio recruited Vorax's drummer, Walter Martinez to play with Almafuerte and Walter recorded three albums with them. Then Martinez left the band and quickly reunited Vorax and within six months they managed to pull out goddamn great album. This band really sounds like old school Heavy/Speed Metal with all the compliments that makes a band to rule: nice soloing, pounding drum work, good riffs and a great vocalist. Each and every member performs greatly and I yet can't understand how this band remains the status of under. The drums have a dry but distant sound, the riffs are excellent and the vocalist has a normal voice but he can indeed belt some growls and also he can use a more high-pitched voice when needed.

If you ask any serious metal head to mention you some of the most prominent bands that have ever walked over Venezuelan soil, Gillman is going to be one of the most common answers that you will instantly get. Some may worship him, some may acknowledge his talent and legacy, and a few others may hate him for being a Chavista -A term used to describe any Venezuelan who supports Hugo Chavez's government and shares his ideology. After he walked away from Arkangel, one of the heavy metal pioneers in Latin America, Paul decided to create an independent solo project, which would allow him to reflect his ideas with no boundaries, and having full creative control of his music. All other is history. 11 albums of pure heavy metal, from AC/DC and Iron Maiden to Pantera, Judas Priest and King Diamond.
11.02.2014 - Desdinova
New progressive thrash metal band from France. Metal storm can help us to be discovered in eastern europe and review our stuff. I also have discovered a lot of new bands through your website and it could be the same for us.
11.02.2014 - deadswarm
Dead Swarm has a fresh and diverse sound that draws from multiple styles. Dead Swarm has been making a name for themselves in the state of Arizona as a MUST SEE band (Phoenix New Times Metal! section 2/4/2014). The band has also been a featured band on the Dust Bowl Metal Show (via OurCityRadio.com) and has been getting play on zonarocks.com radio station. Dead Swarm features Rick Fowler (ex-Inhuman Visions which included Charles Elliott [Abysmal Dawn, Bereft]) on lead guitar/co-lead vocals and Johnny "Goats" Urwin on bass (also in The Human Condition which includes Eric AK [Flotsam & Jetsam] and Wiley Arnett [Sacred Reich]) in addition to Jason Colston on guitar/co-lead vocals, and Jay Welty on drums.

Rise of Borrowed Time has really solidified the excellence of Detroit scene (Nocturnal Fear and Halloween are the best examlpe). Borrowed Time's debut self-titled album from 2013. delivers the most authentic slab of traditional metal around, rooted deeply in the works of Manilla Road and Angel Witch with an Iron Maiden-ish twist—it far exceeds the limits of most modern heavy metal records that settle for sterile production jobs and lackluster songwriting. The whole "revivalist" tag has worn thin, but if there is one release that truly captures the flame and fire of the age of ago, it's this.
10.02.2014 - Mrtvozornik
It's no wonder how the basic, simple style of traditional heavy metal in the vein of Saxon and Judas Priest has survived for over 30 years now. These simple, catchy riffs and drum beats, the solid, melodic vocals and big shoutalong choruses, and no blastbeats, keyboard wankery, or signs of progression in sight... It's purely classic. It's a winning formula for the ages that will never truly get old. Not as long as bands like Black Hawk are still putting out material, at least. This is hard rocking, balls out heavy metal in the style of Accept, Saxon, and 70's Judas Priest, and it's just more of the same treats for the fans of the genre. Tried and true heavy metal with no gimmicks or radio-friendly bullshit. This is just bushel after bushel of classic 80's style riffs and melodic, soaring solos, along with the rough and ready vocals.
10.02.2014 - Mrtvozornik
This UK band is a Motorhead of a new age. In 2009. they released their first album Kamikaze. It's always a tragic thing for a band to lose a member in something like a road accident, and as certain as they will all say that they will continue on with new blood as strong as before rarely is this the case. Not so with Asomvel. Since founding member Jay Jay Winter passed in 2010. these English Northeast grizzled veterans have been continuing to count him in spirit as a member of the band, and on this, their first material to be released without him (Knuckle Duster (2013)) it does sound like he never left them.
10.02.2014 - deadone
Bad News is a spoof heavy metal band created by a number of leading (at the time) English comedians mainly known for their work on the classic comedy series The Young Ones.
They actually played at Monsters of Rock at Castle Donnington in 1986, played with Iron Maiden and worked with Queen guitarist, Brian May.
09.02.2014 - Sepulnation
One of the best bands from South America, and maybe the first inspired by bands like Venom, Slayer, and Possessed, they started their own brand of extreme metal in a time and place where the genre was in its very first steps.
09.02.2014 - diamondblack
This band is a must for all fans of Shadow Gallery and Threshold.
One can easily mistake this bands latest album for a new Shadow Gallery album.
