It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

Insense deserves to be on Metal Storm because they are not much known outside of norway. Insense is a fantastic bands and should be heard by so many others than just norwegians that are interested in that kind of music.
The vocalist/guitarist Tommy Hjelm also plays with Benea Reach sometimes

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...

Kudos for un-blacklisting them! Let's open our minds!
They play live in metal festivals, have members from other metal bands in Japan (check the bio of their band members), and, on top of all, are actually a pretty decent group.

They were un-blacklisted? Kudos, MS. - The touring band don't lack metal cred either - guitarist #1 tours with Marty Friedman and guitarist #2 is Galneryus's ex-bassist

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".

AraPacis (Ara-Patches) is a female fronted metal band hailing from Montreal, Canada. Formed in 2003 by guitarist Jerry Fielden, their main goal was to re-create some of the orignal aspects of 1970's Hard Rock and Progressive Rock and fuse it together with early 21st Century Progressive, Doom & Gothic Metal to make an interesting metal hybrid. Their debut album ''So Many Leapers'' was released in April of 2006. and their second album ''Consequences Of Dreams'' was released on October 5, 2009. The band is now working on their 3rd album.

Personal review of the debut EP ''In Absence Of A View'' 2014
In Absence Of A View opens with great progressive Melodeath riffing, which quickly establishes a nice aggressive groove. The second half of 'Skyline' features some melodic guitars to shine a light on the other speciality of this band. Just like the last track ended 'Blind At Heart' continues in Swedish sounding guitarmelodies, which chracterizes this melodic track. It's not too long which makes for an entertaining track.
'In Decay' sounds like a solid energetic song, which should make a great live track. The final chapter, 'A Point of View', starts off with a lovely introduction, it holds onto that sweet groove untill some backup synths spice up the sound for a great modern metal feel. The track has a dark atmosphere and is my personal favourite off the EP.
Overall I think it's a great debut and it sheds light onto loads of potential for yet another solid band from Russia's growing modern metalscene.

Incurvatus is a progressive metalband from Ulricehamn, Sweden.
The band was formed in october 2006 and started to rehersal at the music school in Ulricehamn. In the beginning we played covers from bands such as Metallica, Iron Maiden and Pantera, but soon we started to write our own songs. The music was back then very influenced by thrash- and heavy metal, but the style has changed much through the years. We have more influences from other genres than metal these days such as classical indian music, classical guitar music, classic rock and so on. Our progressive side turns out to be more like trying to do something new and exciting by mix different genres than play as fast and complex that you can like for an example Dream Theater.

Since 2005, the quartet (hailing from Florence) already released three studio albums. Now a new strike called „Thunder Knows No Mercy" will be unleashed.
Classical Heavy Metal with great doublebass drumming, some speedy parts and strong vocals: Everyone, who likes to „Keep It True", will love "Thunder Knows No Mercy" directly. Great riffs, striking high pitched vocals and twin leads are driven by a tight rhythm section. Catchy heaviness is mixed up with calm, quiet parts.
RENEGADE keep the old spirit alive: And that's the reason why they sound so fresh and young!

Because this album is being well received all over the world.
Southern Oregon metal band attic lands squarely in a tech, death/avant-garde Venn diagram. attic's collective head assembles various musical themes; ranging from the analysis of the human condition, to B budget horror movie monsters. While drawing inspiration from the Rogue Valley's seasons, and showcasing more than just an affinity for speed; attic is an amalgam of contrasts - seizing attention with organic rhythms, and dramatic lulls amidst a surging storm of punch-your-teeth-out thrash reminiscent of both modern and early legendary metal contributors.
Words about the album:
"Seasons is tight. The guitar riffs yanked me in and would not let go no matter how much I squirmed. There is something fundamental about attic's brand of death metal yet they throw in melodically technical atmospheric mind-fucks that will make your ears cream, especially for those of you who like it ruff. That's just the first four songs, which you can check out here. The album drops on September 23rd as a self-release."

Intriguing combination of styles, from intense, slow death metal to punishing old-school thrash. Cool debut from this Oregon band.

MYSTERY was first formed in 2010 by a group of twelve and thirteen year old boys in the western suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. The home of the legendary AC/DC.
The band originally formed in 2010 and did not know what to call the band for their very first show, so Rocky suggested Mystery. He suggested it simply because they were heading into the show with their name being a complete mystery even to themselves only a few weeks prior to show day.
After performing their first show as 'Mystery' and being that it was also a song by DIO, the band chose to keep the name MYSTERY as a tribute to the memory of the late Ronnie James Dio. Coincidently, the band's first original song 'Rock n' Roll Forever Be' was written and composed as a tribute to Dio.
Playing and performing like true professionals at such an early age, MYSTERY surprised their unsuspecting audiences who sang along to their set of originals and a number of classic Hard Rock / Heavy Metal anthems. There was no looking back and everything from that point would have to be nothing short of huge!
MYSTERY intend on making HISTORY! As it's been said 'the future of ROCK and HEAVY METAL is in good hands'!
The band since released their debut album titled '2013' which was supported with World tours in 2012 and 2013. The band performed on main stages all over the World including Japan, The USA, Australia and Europe with bands such as MOTLEY CRUE, IRON MAIDEN, SWEET, EUROPE, MANOWAR, MOTORHEAD, MEGADETH and many more.MYSTERY has also played at many of the World's greatest festivals like Ost Fest and they played twice at Topfest and Rocklahoma with GUNS N' ROSES, KID ROCK, CHEAP TRICK, TWISTED SISTER, ALICE IN CHAINS, KORN and many more.
The band would eventually become to be known as the youngest Rock band to ever tour the world.
A follow up album was recorded in 2013 titled 'From Dusk Till Dawn' and scheduled for a 2014 release, which is also supported by their very own motion picture movie that features all of the songs from the album.
The movie 'MYSTERY: BORN TO ROCK' premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014 as part of the official line-up for Screen Australia and the Australian Government. 2014 also marked the third consecutive year of International tour dates and the beginning of the recording of a third album which will be supported with major touring in 2015.
There is no stopping MYSTERY as the band continues to dominate the world stage!

Sanctuar is an old romanian heavy metal band. They were active between 2007 and 2012, and now in 2014 they are starting again. It is a great band with great songs and I think that people should know about it. They have 2 albums released and the future looks bright for them.
