02:48 - mz they have portal influence for sure, a lot of it, but it is more than that.
02:45 - Fearmeister Okay so what is it influenced by then?
02:37 - mz if you think that they are just portal worship, either you have not heard them, or you are out of your mind :D
02:30 - Fearmeister mz likes it cause it sounds like portal which makes them unique
02:27 - Apothecary Really in depth shit, probably the best elaboration upon that scene I've yet read. Love it or hate it, fanboy over it or decry it all as DsO worship, one can't deny some powerful shit is going on there
02:26 - !J.O.O.E.! mz, I still don't get your interest in that band. They're so bleh.
It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

Not quite a metal band, but seeing that other hard rock or glam bands are featured, I do not see why these guys shouldn't be here. Great White is one of the better bands from that thoroughly commercial movement of the 80s.

Corvus is a Melodic Metal band from Ukraine. They released their debut album "Raven Rising" in 2012.

Royal Corvus band was formed in September 2005 and the first band name was Corvus. The name was borrowed from Latin, it translates - the Raven. It is a symbol of the wisdom in most ancient religions of the world. Raven is a carrier of souls across the River of Eternity and a binding link between the fragile edge of the World of Shadows and the World of the Living. Initially, the Corvus band was created as a melodic symphonic gothic metal project, but in the process of development and quality growth joins itself the best of the different trends and styles of rock. Now Royal Corvus band has created more than thirty Russian and English-language songs. Song's sound is very different: from romantic ballads to hard and progressive rock. And nobody of the listeners will not remain indifferent, because everyone will find something in this music for themselves. All this different musical styles are merged in one unique style - Corvus style. Besides his own works band plays covers of classic rock and pop songs. During its long history Royal Corvus band many times was engaged in various kinds of rock and bike festivals in Kharkov, and outside it. The Royal Corvus band received invitations and performed in support to rock stars as: Master, Sergey Mavrin, Epidemia, Catharsis, and vocalist of the legendary bands Rainbow and Deep Purple - Joe Lynn Turner. April 28, 2012 the Corvus band has presented their debut album - Raven Rising. October 24, 2012 Royal Corvus was official support group of SCORPIONS in Kharkov as part of the farewell tour "FINAL STING TOUR" .

Progressive Metal band in the vein of The Human Abstract's Digital Veil album without the harsh vocals. Their debut album Reticence: The Musical has already been released. Definitely worth a listen.

Give it a listen. These guys are pretty damn good and the music should speak for itself. I will say give atleast a listen to a couple of songs.
It's brilliant stuff that comes out of the states, and being from the states we need more articulate new bands/music. This is a good show of that.

Gorelord is a Norwegian death metal band which uses horror movie-like themes in its music. It is the one man side project of Frediablo of the band Necrophagia. Contrary to some reports, Gorelord is based in Oslo, Norway. In September 2005 Frediablo issued a statement saying he was quitting Necrophagia among all of his music projects and bands he was involved in, except for Grimfist. He was also a member of Wurdulak, Hemnur, Soul Forsaken, Ave Sathanas, Blodkrig, Deride and was a session member in Svartpest.

Greetings from Russia
It is difficult to objectively write about my own group. I will say this way. We are playing a quality groove metal. You can verify this by listening to our album and our singles.

With 2 full length albums, a 3rd in the pipeline, and several EPs, this band produces quality heavy/power metal, and is popular enough to produce their latest album through crowdfunding.

Taking their origins from a country with a truly deep musical heritage, acclaimed young Russian metal act Gravity Rain are engaging their fanbase to support them in finishing their upcoming album "Artifacts of Balance".
Gravity Rain made its debut in May 2014 with the 3-track EP "The Shining Silence". Carefully crafted, well produced and showcasing an eclectic mix of influences including Tool, Devin Townsend, Staind and Type O Negative, the release was well received in heavy music circles.
Gravity Rain is skillfully balanced between an abundance of melody, clean, solid vocals and a fine feeling for music itself, yet retaining the power and groove of metal at its core.

Inspired by the new wave of progressive music, and combining a love of melody, atmosphere, and the low-end groove, Echolapse has produced a sound that is both unique in the metal community today, and accessible to listeners who may not normally listen to metal.
Having first become friends in high school after meeting in guitar class, Derek Marsh, Michael Adamik, and David Deutsch formed Echolapse several years later in the winter of 2010. At first, the material produced was thought to be too progressive and lacking something of a signature sound. After experimenting for several months, new material was written that was starting to grow into something original. Eager to have their music heard, a five-song demo was released early 2013. Although the music was well received, the band was still not satisfied with the compositional quality of the songs, and felt they perhaps rushed the finished product. Since this release, new songs have been written, and a few earlier ones improved upon, producing material that the band feels achieves their vision and meets the standards of what Echolapse represents.
After much thought, Echolapse decided to work with Aaron Smith of Envisage Audio and 7 Horns 7 Eyes to help realize their vision and mix their album. The single "Regression" was released in July 2014, and was seen as big step-up in terms of overall sound, composition, and performance from their demo the year before. The debut album, "Deadlights", is presently in the works and should be released sometime in the Summer of 2015.

Black Blood of the Earth is a formation devoted to what is negative and painful. It is your wicked reflection in black depths of human nature, slow decay, loneliness in the face of infinity.
The band was formed in late autumn 2008. Four different music personalities gathered in one of Torun's artistic basements and raised an idea of creating harsh metal music. Nevertheless, the beginnings were not easy, it took long to define their own musical style and reach out of darkness. Over the time, there came stabilization, a turn from speed to heaviness, harmoniousness and depressing atmosphere, a clear direction of development.
June 2011 was the time of their first studio session, which successfully led to the release of promotional material named 'Demo 2011'. The material consisted of 25 minute raw, embedded in oldschool climate death/doom metal. The band did not rest on its laurels though, it chalked up numerous gigs and started working on the debut material. 'Wave of Cold' EP was recorded in Torun's Eden Studio in summer 2012. The material is an unfettered evolution towards the early wave of death/doom metal, inspirations can be found in music of Paradise Lost and Katatonia, however it is simultaneously an innovative and diversified composition. Black Blood of the Earth is a melancholic sound fusion, a genuine journey through musical (other)worlds.
At the beginning of 2013, Black Blood of the Earth signed to Let It Bleed Records and on June 6th 2013 'Wave of Cold' EP was released.

That's how that year, in mid-october, finished their composition.
In May 2015, get lucky when shared a concert with CARAJO, one of the most influential bands of the genre in Argentina.
After that, starts their debut album recording, which would come out that year in late october, and would be later digitally delivered by Under Submarine Records.

Saw them open up for Soulfly. They were a PHENOMENAL live group with a fresh new sound reminiscent of Killswitch Engage era of early Metalcore. They're already quite reputable as a group as they are currently touring with Soulfly and Soilwork. They're signed to a label, they have released an official studio album titled "Hope Within Hatred" and they embody the type of material Metalstorm represents.

Female fronted Progressive Metal band from Netherlands.
ReSolve was started in Den Haag (The Hague) by friends Gregory van der Hoeven (drums) and Lennert Kemper (guitars). In 2010, the two musicians combined their talents with the idea to compose and perform the music they had always wanted to make, resulting in their own Progressive Metal sound that was familiar and accessible, yet musically challenging and diverse at the same time. After a turbulent first few years going through many changes and struggles with finding members, they found their final line-up in 2014. This line-up consists of Fabian Blomsma on synths, Justus Ebel on bass and Radina Dimcheva on vocals. All members of this line-up bring their own unique flavour to the ReSolve mix, resulting in a sound that is not commonly heard, but still very engaging to listen to.
The band has been working hard and the result of this hard labor will be the debut-album entitled 'Wayward Sanctuary', that is slated for release on October 10th, 2015, through Layered Reality Productions. After that, the band will be taking to stages in The Netherlands and beyond to show that they are willing and able to show the world what they have in store!
ReSolve has taken matters in their own hands now and are hungry to take the future head-on as masters of their destiny!
