It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".
03.02.2012 - Imtholiel
Imtholiel is a new band and they are working on their single and album in these days. Their songs are mainly about fantasy worlds and stories with power metal sound and female vocals. Their single will be available soon and they have covers from different styles on their sites.
29.06.2013 - Nimlot
-1 A lot of accounts must have been created just to bump up this shameless act of self-promotion...
18.06.2013 - IronArkadius666
The band features 3 members from Isis, another post metal band already on MS, and the vocalist of Deftones.
It is more post-like than Isis and not quite as heavy, but it definitely deserves a place on MS, as it is reminiscent of bands like AtomA.
I believe that a lot of fans of bands like Isis, AtomA, Enshine, Aoria and other bands in that vein of music will greatly appreciate this band.
29.06.2013 - SyFFiLiS
"Heavy, stargazing rock outfit Palms was forged out of an explosive collision, as Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno joined forces with critically-lauded post-metal group ISIS". This should be enough said to add this band on MS.
04.07.2013 - tea[m]ster
Album is fantastic, put it on here!
07.07.2013 - Unhealer
Liking this album more and more each listen!
28.07.2013 - psykometal
Didn't hear any metal in this at all when I listened.
03.10.2013 - 3rdWorld
-1. And i do agree with Mr.Database manager. There isn't any metal in this at all. No need to die to get it added in here, cuz this doesn't deserve a place here. Not to mention their really crappy and bland debut. Pfft. >:(
24.10.2013 - ScreamingSteelUS
I don't understand why people insist on associating post-rock with metal. There is no metal here.
24.05.2012 - The Benighted
Corelia are a burgeoning progressive/technical metal band with a single EP under their belts. With a sound not unlike Protest the Hero and The Human Abstract, they've come across some especially interesting ideas along the way, with a stunning selection of songs, to boot. 'Nostalgia' was released in 2011, and I've been listening ever since. Highly recommended.
08.10.2012 - sentinel65
A modern throwback to the late '60s pre-metal movement. They perfectly combine psychedelic rock, doom metal, and horror themed lyrics for adventurous albums. They're popularity has been growing and growing.
02.12.2009 - Bastard Child
London based and out to offend everyone. Featuring members of Damnas and Inner Rage River Frehney have terrorized the UK underground with their no holds bar offensive comedy and hardcore thrash. Have played with ArnoCorps, Ring Wrom and Evile, toured with Nebukadnezza and have a number of EP's released.
05.06.2013 - psykometal
Needs at least one full length.
01.03.2013 - .:Nataras:.
Because i think we will see more good songs from them, and when i have heard their released songs which can be found on their Facebook page, i decided to promote them and help them to register their Band on well known metal forums and sites.
and i know they have not released an album yet, but will be release soon :))
08.07.2013 - SSM
I just listened to their music, they have the passion and enough skills. Looking forward to their debut.
25.07.2013 - LeKiwi
Songwriting needs a bit of work but they certainly have talent.
28.07.2013 - psykometal
Needs to release a full length.
20.03.2009 - Yossarian
Info in English here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Suaves
They should be here as Spain is a kind of important country as regards metal fans and this band is together with another 4 or 5 the most famous hard rock and rock band in the territory. Above all from Madrid northwards. They only reason why outsiders don't know them is the fact that they sing in Spanish. Otherwise, they would be popular enough for you.
Their music style is quite similar to The Ramones, Motorhead...The voice is let's say "peculiar". They are still active after 28 years and still selling out venues.
Their website appears to be in maintenance now.
27.01.2010 - ArcticWolf
Fastway are a British heavy metal band formed by guitarist, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, formerly of Motörhead, and bassist, Pete Way, formerly of UFO.
Don't think I need more reasons to explain why the band needs to be part of MS? Do You? I bet most of Motörhead and UFO fans are familiar with Fastway or know something about the band.
In addition, I am not able to find there official site, however I provided a link to there myspace page.
27.01.2010 - DayFly
AOR of the sticky, shmalzy kind
24.10.2013 - onedh
Fastway should be included in metalstorm.com ASAP. "Fast" Eddie Clarke delivers atrue amount of oldschool Heavy Metal. Also this band has been an influence for many other bands.
17.08.2012 - Vahumana.az

TRAUMATIC HAS 2 ALBUMS:
1-Point of Rupture 2010

05.01.2013 - SSM
Superb performance + well-written instrumental songs. Definitely deserves a page here on MS. The Facebook link is incorrect, you can check the band correct page in the following link: https://www.facebook.com/traumatic.band. Also, the band name is "Traumatic", it's misspelled.

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.
28.07.2013 - psykometal
Needs at least one full length.
24.11.2013 - LeKiwi
Ugh those weak screams...a better vocalist would be a huge improvement.

Stamina is a french metal band founded by the keyboardist Gildas Vijay ROUSSEAU. In 2006 they released their debut album "Mess'Age" and currently work on the second album "Via Crucis".
30.04.2011 - Syk
Are they at all like Meshuggah or Nevermore?
16.02.2012 - hammercs
Technical, but also melodic metal from Hungary. They sing in Hungarian, which may be a setback, but the quality definitely beats the problem! They've recently released their third album, and have developed a name for themselves in Europe.
Syk: Yes, in the beginning, they were like Meshuggah, but since, incorporated lots of clean vocals and proggy stuff.
12.07.2013 - qlacs
It's a problem that WMD still not featured on MS. :P
24.02.2009 - warlock84
We are a young band trying to get our name out there and believe this site is a great tool to help with that. We are a true metal band, not that nu-metal or radio friendly junk. We all grew up listening to bands like Pantera, Slayer, Iced Earth, Testament, Kataklysm, Amon Amarth, etc and strive to bring back the old school heavy metal. We hope to record a demo this year and any press, good or bad, would be greatly appreciated.
03.06.2011 - ForlornSky
This band, although primarily Metalcore, deserves to be here by virtue of the sheer talent they have. They are truly remarkable and musically are amazing. They offer something new to the genre and fuse a lot of different styles together. They have 2 albums and deserve a place in Metal Storm database.
10.06.2011 - BlckMtlMelodies
Great sound. I'm having a crisis as they self refer as "Christian Metal"...what to do? +1
20.08.2012 - Uldreth
Very similiar to the neoclassical guitar playing in The Human Abstract, these guys are incredible. +1
12.12.2012 - Jay Bourque
Very good, the only thing core about them in my opinion are the vocals but I can look past that.
11.10.2013 - BaneConall
Their newest album Aletheia is pretty darn awesome! +1
30.11.2013 - errorcode99
religion should be completely personal blablabla... anyways, very good music!! +1
04.11.2013 - Skyum
Their debut album "Dopo l'Apnea" is a really good mixture of sludgy and atmospheric black metal with an industrial edge. At times it sounds like (newer) Altar of Plagues with sludgy vocals and droning riffs.
04.11.2013 - Evican
Having recently supported Enslaved on their Australian tour, Rise Of Avernus mean business. They are your local band that sounds like they are an international act. Their brand of metal is sophisticated, dark, heavy and dense with perfectly balanced orchestral arrangements. It's great to see a quality metal band out of Australia.
03.11.2013 - Syk
Group based in Moscow with three full-length releases over the last five years, through three different labels, and all with very impressive cover art (especially last year's). Also self-released a single six months ago with the Russian title Интеллект бога
03.11.2013 - Syk
http://www.facebook.com/official.MysteryBlue Getting all my info from m-a, here: Apparently formed in 1978, this group released two albums in the mid-eighties, one in 1998, and a further four since 2002 with Nathalie Geyer who, in addition to providing vocals, plays keyboards and - get this - didgeridoo! Given the band's long history and number of releases (album no. 2 was released by Dream Recs who issued Killers' third) I'm quite surprised they're neither amongst the suggestions nor on the site already
03.11.2013 - Syk
http://www.facebook.com/bloodfeastnet/info At least one album released ('Mea Culpa' 2009) since their formation around 1997, and a few demo/EPs including one in 2010 although the band is apparently now on hold
02.11.2013 - gabrielsanctus
Noctum can call on the best aspects of vintage metal and doomy hard rock, employing rich organic textures and impressive vocals to effectively capture a tense, haunted mood.
01.11.2013 - Donnie Darko
You must listen! to this amazing band from Bulgaria. The play a delicious combination of power metal, progressive metal, symphonic metal and melodic death metal with catchy and memorable melodies. Highly recommended.
01.11.2013 - Vasil de Shumen
Very good death metal from Missouri/San Diego, California. Excellent performance, a lot of ideas, good analog sound. They have 1 EP and 1 album - 'The Sleeper Awakens' (awesome recording !!).
01.11.2013 - jtasteless
These guys are cool as hell, and the music rocks. I first discovered/met them when they played Rocklahoma, when they were still Pretty Little Suicide. Their new EP is way heavier and kicks more ass than anything they did as PLS, and though I've only seen them a few times as 3PD, the live show is great too. Maybe more "hard rock" than "metal", but definitely worth a listen either way.
19.12.2013 - TungstenPhilly
Tungsten is an up and coming USA progressive metal band. They have a debut album coming out in January 2014 recorded at the damage room, a metal-specialized studio in the US. They have shared the stage with Christopher Amott (Arch Enemy) and Matt Wicklund (God Forbid). They are currently in the process of promoting their album, submitting it for reviews, etc, and have already received a number of strong reviews and FM radio play in multiple countries. They gig actively in the Northeastern United States, particularly in their home town of Philadelphia.
31.10.2013 - LupusS
The band has been active since 1997, with 4 official CD albums.
Actually signed with Sleaszy Rider Records (Def Leppard, Blackmore's Night, Ancient, etc...) www.sleaszyrider.com
31.10.2013 - Jeebneus
Formerly "So Hideous, My Love", they play a sort of blackened hardcore, now with orchestra! Atmospheric and agressive. They have 2 EPs and now one full length ("Last Poem/First Light").
28.10.2013 - Shaddixdc6
Havenlost is an italian emerging band that combines Classical/Folk music with Death/Progressive metal in order to obtain an original sound worthy of note, with lyrics that talk about the interior struggle of mankind(melancholy, revenge, etc).
I've been at many of their concert, and now that their first EP( Haven, Lost) has been released, I think they would deserve to take a place on Metal Strorm.
28.10.2013 - Dead In Hell
The band has been around since 1994. They've released only two albums (12 years apart, one in 2000 and one in 2012, each on a different record label) but quality is always more important than quantity and these guys are at the top of their game. They recall early Morbid Angel without being an annoying clone band or a retro gimmick side-project, they have a similar talent for composition and pack an army of riffs into each track.
29.11.2013 - Dizzeke
Their 2012 release was one of the most underrated albums of the year.
26.10.2013 - Slipintospace
Progressive/hard rock band up to par with pioneers Rush, Jethro Tull, etc. Been around since the 70's and they have released around 10 studio albums, excluding demos, live albums and the like. An excellent addition to the site's rock section.
27.10.2013 - MechanisT
Uhhh, no. Great 70s prog band, and I know many are featured here, but c'mon.
01.11.2013 - RaduP
MetalStorm needs a bit more rock
02.11.2013 - Syk
Not really. Bad Company did little more than piss me off... Aerosmith, Journey, Mountain, ZZ Top, KC and the aforementioned proggers should be enough
21.11.2013 - Karlabos
I agree. This is Metalstorm, not Rockstorm =P
25.10.2013 - MaxEbina
Rock n' Roll history is rife with brothers working together to create their artistic vision. But rarely do we hear about a full-fledged family unit embarking down the treacherous path of a musical career. In the case of Texas based Mothership, the Brother Juett (Kyle on bass, younger brother Kelley on guitar) enlisted the aid of their father, John Juett, to help get the 'ship off the ground. Raised on a healthy dose of their father's 70's-era record collection, the brothers began crafting songs fueled on the raucous and raw good time vibe when music seemed to know no bounds. Lifting off the pad for the first time in 2010, the band began to gain momentum and notoriety with their unabashed live shows. Knowing that the service of the family patriarch was temporary, Father Juett actively helped his boys find his replacement, and in late 2011, enter the mighty Judge Smith to hammer away on the skins. In early 2012, Mothership entered Crystal Clear Studios with Wo Fat mastermind Kent Stump manning the boards and by mid-year, the band self-released their debut album. It was the combination of the 70's-era heavy rock fuzz and fury mixed with the blistering guitar solos of the NWOBHM-era that drew the bands attention to California-based Heavy Rock label, Ripple Music. In the waning months of 2012, after a successful year of traveling regionally throughout Texas and opening for national acts such as Prong, Red Fang, Gypsyhawk, Earthen Grave, and Lo-Pan, Mothership officially dubbed Ripple Music as its Home Port and began plotting a course for their first U.S. Tour in early 2013.
