08:48 - RedOctober 2015 has been crappy for Prog death so far :'( except for Alkaloid :)
08:16 - Joe Zombie am i the only one who finds bell witch totally average and boring?
01:58 - Ap46 Well, anything would get better if Laure kicks in, though i fear she was a bit overused in Corpo Mente, she displayed all her vocal ability in every Corpo-Mente's track, which gets just a little bit tiresome by the end.
01:51 - Mechaniacal At this point, I need Laure in everything Igorrr-related. I'd go as far as to say his music would be empty to me without her. Laure has one of the best voices out there.
01:45 - Ap46 Well, it's a mix of acoustic, opera, trip hop, with little touches of metal here and there. It's pretty much avant-garde but a lot more straight forward than Igorrr's main discography.
It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".

....uhhhh, which planet are you living on?

The Canadian rock band was popular in the late 1970s through the 1980s. Triumph began building their reputation across North America as a live band, peaking in the early 1980s as an import before interest gradually declined. Today, the power trio continue to receive radio airplay on Classic Rock stations and are perhaps best remembered for their positive message songs and their vibrant energetic concerts, complete with extravagant pyrotechnical light shows. Their popularity was extremely strong in Texas, where they first received strong radio attention; but, they were stellar standouts at California's US Festival, and garnered a considerable fan base and radio attention by regularly touring the world, especially throughout North America and Europe. Like their fellow Canadians Rush and Saga.

If Journey and Rush are on this site, so should Triumph. Rik Emmett is a guitar god!

I agree that this band deserves place on this site. It's one of the finest hard rock/progressive rock bands of Canada.

AraPacis (Ara-Patches) is a female fronted metal band hailing from Montreal, Canada. Formed in 2003 by guitarist Jerry Fielden, their main goal was to re-create some of the orignal aspects of 1970's Hard Rock and Progressive Rock and fuse it together with early 21st Century Progressive, Doom & Gothic Metal to make an interesting metal hybrid. Their debut album ''So Many Leapers'' was released in April of 2006. and their second album ''Consequences Of Dreams'' was released on October 5, 2009. The band is now working on their 3rd album.

AraPacis is more Classic/Prog Metal than Metalcore, AraPacis has shared the stage with The Agonist, Raven and Anvil, amongst other bands.

Not metalcore... somethin' else. Appeared with the closing track on this femme-metal (voices) compilation http://www.metalstorm.net/bands/album.php?album_id=32808 Third album 'Netherworld' released end of 2011 on Ravenheart Music, and 'Déjà-Vu' EP self-released at end of March, this year (now available for free DL from the band's site, along with about six other older songs) (it appears DV EP is 4 re-recordings of older songs - so you can hear So Many Leapers' title-track twice, and find the advances they've made over 7 years)

Peculate is unique metal project that combines contemporary forms of metal, including technical death metal and mathcore, with contemporary classical and jazz influences. It is unlike most bands on Metal Storm, and, given the shortage of coverage on avant-garde metal, could help enrich the diversity of the Metal Storm community. Peculate is also very prolific, having released several albums in less than two years.
01.02.2015 - Kitharistas87
They play southern rock/hard rock and they developed a quite "heavy" sound especially in the mid 90's. With many albums that are now considered to be classics, I think that they should be on Metal Storm.

CLOUDS TASTE SATANIC
TO SLEEP BEYOND THE EARTH
Clouds Taste Satanic have carried with them the slowest, heaviest and evilest elements of their post-rock past to all out doom with their debut, To Sleep Beyond The Earth. Influences? From Dopesmoker era Sleep, a grinding tone, a grinding pace and one 45 minute song, divided only by the four parts listed in its' title and the physical limits of a side of vinyl. From '90's era Earth, heavy distortion, the absence of vocals and a willingness to repeat a simple riff over and over to create a pummeling form of hypnosis. Enjoy.
Steve Scavuzzo (Guitar), Christy Davis (Drums), David Weintraub (Guitar), Sean Bay (Bass).
Formed in 2013 in Brooklyn New York. To Sleep Beyond The Earth, debut full-length (Vinyl/CD/Download) on Kinda Like Music (KLM 007) released in 2014.
Recorded at Let 'Em In studios in Brooklyn, NY. Mastered by West West Side Music.
thanks for listening

Hey there, administrators! Greetings from San Francisco, CA! :) Well, the musician is in the web site, but there isn's any record label, albums, CDs EPs, it missing the discography. Her name is Anette Olzon. I found her really difficult by searching, but there isn't anything about 'Anette Olzon', except, if you go to Nightwish's page and you'll see the past members of the band, and of course you'll find Anette Olzon. I would like to add her debut album as a single and solo musician already. I would like to add 'Shine' in her page in the web site. Still there are many fans of her that would rating her album, 'Shine' released on March 28th 2014. Well my daughter asked for it, to add her debut album in Anette's page, here in the web side. Here's a link of her debut album. (Anette Olzon) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shine_%28Anette_Olzon_album%29

Hi there! We've been in many bands throughout our 15+ years playing and we are in a newer band called The Apex (ex-Blood Shot Eye, Dismata, Corprophemia, Closed Casket Funeral). We are releasing our debut "Self-Titled" album Feb. 7th, 2015 and we are trying our hardest to get our name out there on as many metal social platforms as possible. We strongly feel we are on our way to being one of Canada's heaviest bands and would love to be a part of your website! We have an electronic press kit if that would be of any help: www.theapexband.com. There are songs and videos on there and I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have! I have access to our full album online if you are interested in doing a feature or review. Cheers! -Tyson (Drums)

Blind Spite have been in existence since 1996 playing extreme metal in an insular part of the UK - Cumbria, for the majority of that period there were maybe only another 2 or 3 bands around us of that nature so no kind of scene has ever been possible except using online promotion. The last recording released in September 2014 through Legion Blotan records is by far the best recording appealing strongly to death metal and black metal listeners where there is a considerable divide between fans of the style. We focus on effective songwriting and other worldly atmospheres.
Blind Spite fuse the atmospherics and vitriol of black metal with the brutality of death metal to create an uncompromising and expansive take on the human condition and the vast and uncaring universe we inhabit. Frenzied riffing supported by unrelenting drums twists and swells around atmospheric passages, augmented with a venomous and varied vocal delivery. This is the soundtrack to the insignificance of man.
Formed in the bleak wastes of Cumbria, we have released five Ep's through multiple line up changes, refining our sound towards it's current incarnation in Extinction Event. This blackened atmospheric is what we build upon live, increasing the intensity of our recorded output through new material and an unorthodox and innovative approach. We aim to drench the audience in bleak concepts.
