It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

In the Autumn of 2008, CHAOS IN PARADISE started taking their first steps in a small garage in Oporto suburbs, where Alex and Quik began to outline the identity of the band.
After a few days, they started searching for other musicians to complete CHAOS IN PARADISE and after a while they found Pedro for guitar, 19 for bass and Sara for the vocal parts.
With the band as a whole, the quintet began writing their first Demo which came out in February 2010, including the songs "Dawn", "Heading North", "The Meaning of Being Imposed" and "Antagonized".
The band recorded the Demo at their own studio and released and distributed the four songs online for free!
After, CHAOS IN PARADISE began their live shows through Portugal, to promote their work and also to obtain experience as a band.
In the beginning of 2011, the band returned to the rehearsal room to start writing their following work, trying a new aproach to improve their sound, bringing their own identity to it and making it more coherent.
With the pre-production on the bagage, the recording sessions of the EP started in March 2011 at Soundvision Studios in Vila do Conde with Paulo Lopes in the co-production.
From the EP entitled "Let the Bliss Remain" the band released their first single "Awareness" to the fans and press, aquiring unanimous opinions expressing that their evolution and sound quality had a huge improvement.
With the "Let the Bliss Remain" presentation and release in June 2011, CHAOS IN PARADISE came back to the road to promote their EP in Portugal, having already some International shows in mind.
At the moment, they're planning to edit their first album in 2012.

Needs at least one full length.

Ugh those weak screams...a better vocalist would be a huge improvement.

Side project of AAL frontman Tosin Abasi and members of The Mars Volta and Suicidal Tendencies. Not the most metal sound in the world, but there are clear metal undertones. Interesting art!
08.03.2012 - R'Vannith
Wouldn't call them djent but yeah interesting stuff.
31.03.2012 - João Pirucas
This is much more Jazz Fusion than Djent but it's awesome nonetheless. That connotation is there just because Tosin and Javier are part of the band, in my opinion. Good addition to the site anyways. +1

Great band with a great album (Lingua Franca), Terrazas, Reyes, Abasi & Moore, fresh sound, awesome performance and production with awesome drum works.

Insense deserves to be on Metal Storm because they are not much known outside of norway. Insense is a fantastic bands and should be heard by so many others than just norwegians that are interested in that kind of music.
The vocalist/guitarist Tommy Hjelm also plays with Benea Reach sometimes

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

Ace Of Hearts is a "supergroup" with members of Secret Sphere, Icon & the Black Roses and Odd Dimension, his debut album "Monster" is a MUST for the fans of the genre!

Because this band will blow your mind. its like Amon Amarth but with clean-ish vocals. The vocalist makes the band... majestic. After only watching their official video, i immediately fell in love with their style. If you like Amon, Ensiferum, Enslaved, and fucking awesome vocals, this band is for you!! \m/

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".

"Sår" (Sar) is a solo project in Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM) genre which started in 2008 by its only member "Don Andolini" in the north of Iran. The word "Sår" has been taken from one of the Sortsind's song titles with the same name, and it means "Wounds" in English.

Dying Blynd is a female fronted, progressive metal band from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Compared by fans to a collision between Lacuna Coil and System of a Down, Dying Blynd combines technical metal proficiency, soul catching hooks, and vocals ranging from soaring melodies to face scorching growls. We believe music travels beyond physical experience and is an endeavor into the spiritual, so as a result, we are constantly pushing ourselves toward creative excellence. Lyrically, Dying Blynd is emotionally driven, raw, and seeks to spread the message of truth and love.

Iymrya Music style is mixture Of Dark Ambient, neoclassical & Orchestral instruments,Iymrya Music is something that even fans of black metal, funeral doom and Neoclassical feel so close with it.I think this should be in metal storm as "Elend" and "Other dark ambient bands" because it's unique !
27.07.2014 - -Morbid-
Formerly known as Regurgitation with one full-length and an EP under that name, they later became Necrotic Disgorgement and have 2 releases under this name. Last year's "Documentaries of Dementia" seemed to go under the radar amongst many fans despite very positive reviews and many of the reviewers tipping it as the best brutal death metal album of 2013.
27.07.2014 - -Morbid-
Been around for a while, 3 full-lengths so far with another one on the way. Earlier stuff was a bit more straightforward brutal death metal, but with "Mankind Carries the Seeds of Hell" they changed gears a bit, upping the technicality and shifting away from the gore lyrics and such to make an album that would fit more alongside bands like Hour of Penance than the gore-soaked hordes their earlier albums got lost in.

FAN REVIEW from Bryce Podgorsek (USA)
I encourage anyone that is into rock or melodic metal to check out the band La-Ventura official bandpage; their music is amazing! The power behind the vocals parallels that of lacuna coil and/or Evanescence, especially on their new album W...hite Crow . Some of my favorite tracks are "Song for an Idiot", "Falling Down", and "Time and Time Again", but every song on their sophomore release is amazing! It's an album I can listen to from start to finish without skipping a song. Sadly, it doesn't seem as though they're receiving the recognition they rightfully deserve. They have the ability to be far more popular. Check out this song from their CD; trust me, it's worth your time! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjTQIlWBJ0E

Skull & Bones is a pirate metal band from Argentina, where is the first to start out in this particular sub-genre of heavy metal. The name is a reference to the fearsome and remarkable design of the Jolly Roger flag, an emblem of pirate symbology.
The band takes on themes based on the golden age of piracy, with references from both real historical characters of the period as well as fiction from the genre. Skull & Bones evokes this background through a combination of the most distinctive features of power metal with symphonic influences and folk melodies. This way, it accomplishes a unique musical style of its own.
Skull & Bones has recently released their debut album, The Cursed Island, inspired by the classic work Treasure Island by Scottish writer Robert L. Stevenson.
The Cursed Island invites a journey through the work of Stevenson, a journey where the listener will live the quest for the booty that Captain Flint buried in the intriguing Treasure Island.
A heavy metal adventure crowned by orchestral sections, folk ballads and powerful speedy riffs!

I would have thought they would be on here all ready... They were the first band to play slam death metal! The few albums they have out are all pretty good, as well as a new one being released at the end of September this year, GET HYPED

DEFORMATORY have been active since 2008.
Their debut album, "In The Wake of Pestilence", was released in December of 2013 and has been a great success in the underground, technical death metal community.
As a result, they netted a deal with CDN Records, and are currently in the process of recording their second full-length album.
Their music is not your typical tech-death-wankery. They really incorporate their old school influences, hooky riffs, and free-time feel (a la old Cryptopsy)
Plus. They're Canadian! Anything tech-death that comes out of Canada is stellar.
They should be on Metal Storm.
And, I will check in regularly to make sure they are! ;)
Thanks for your consideration.
