It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

One of the more dominent duo, featuring Micheal Kiske and Amanda Somerville. Founded at 2009, this is definitely one of the better combinations out there.
* A little correction, this duo is based in United States.
24.03.2013 - R Lewis
Michael Kiske and Amanda Somerville are two of the most important voices in metal. I think their album would do a great addition to the site. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FBaxEUkjbM

I've got the album. It's good, but both singers turn in poor performances, by their standards.
Anyway, I'd say no, it's rock rather than metal, but I wouldn't complain if it were added.
edit: Ah, fuck it. Tick.

German metal band with (only) two releases so far. First one was some sort of metal opera, Tobias Sammet and Chity Somapala were among the guests. Second one was released recently.
Check out their song Trace of Fate on Youtube, and then check their facebook page. Only 212 likes at this moment... :P
Today - LazorGuns
From Ashes to New was formed (fittingly) from the ashes of several local bands from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Their primary goal is to refresh and reinvigorate the once-thought-to-be-dead nu metal genre. Though primarily rooted in nu metal, other influences are brought in to create a harder-edged variation of the sound. These include hip-hop, post-hardcore, hard rock, electronic music, alternative rock, alternative metal, metalcore, and heavy metal. They don't have a DJ, but they use electronica much in the same way that many nu metal bands utilized record scratches.
Influences vary between hip-hop acts such as Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Eminem, 2Pac, and DMX, to rock/metal acts such as Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Alice in Chains, and Korn, in addition to Skrillex.
Through their use of social media and extensive touring, they have quickly garnered an increasingly large fanbase and much acclaim for their style of music. Their single "Through It All" became a #6 hit on the mainstream rock charts. Their debut album Day One charted at #53 on the Billboard charts, not bad for a such a young metal bands' debut, and are expected to grow even further as time goes on.

A Symphonic Black Metal band from France, with enough originality to distance themselves from bands like Emperor, Anorexia Nervosa, or Dimnu Borgir for example. Not a clean vocal in sight. They had a demon in 2009, and just released their first album Eschatonizer.
Already reviewed positively in a couple of online sites like metal-archives, metalkingdom (if you read Korean...).

Storm Seeker, founded in 2013, plays Pirate Folk Metal. After over 30 successful concert in different cities in German, the band just released their first EP Pirate Scum via Aeterna Records.
01.05.2016 - AFF1969
Released two albums in the late 80's "Party With God" and "Too Cool To Pray" Party With God is a pure underground classic and features Gary Wendt of Skinlab, Release and The Ghost Next Door Fame.

Issues was formed in 2011 after vocalist Tyler Carter was fired from his former band Woe, Is Me due to creative differences, and co-vocalist Michael Bohn left WIM soon after. They stated that their goal was to mix metal with Top 40 music in the same way that nu metal mixed metal with hip-hop music.
They've been successful thus far. Their debut 2012 EP Black Diamonds cracked the Top 100 on the albums charts, and their debut 2014 self-titled album debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 (an extremely impressive feat for a metal band). They are set to release their sophomore album Headspace in May 2016. Their mixture of metalcore, nu metal, pop music, and as well as anything else they can think of has made them one of the biggest names in the modern metalcore scene. For that reason, I think they should be included on this website.
28.04.2016 - Valis_Ablaze
Valis Ablaze have announced a new line up for 2016 with Phil Owen (Ex-Orion, Devu) and Kieran Hogerty (Embodiment) joining the line up. They will be releasing a 6 track EP produced by Drewsif Stalin (USA based) and a music video later this year for their 2016 PR campaign. Valis Ablaze are set to hit the UK strong, after reshaping their sound, with their next appearance at the Manchester Tech Fest (UK) all day event. Check out their facebook site for further information and links to previously released music. They are highly active on social media and promote their partners within in the music industry.

First of all, hello, im bassist from this band im submitting. My name is Federico, i've been a MS follower for over 7 years.
This site helped me to discover an enormous number of new bands, which, otherwise I wouldn't achieve to do. I like to think that site like this one help to bring down some barriers regarding music diffusion. I've always been very fond of how news, articles and information its managed here. Therefore, I'd like my band to appear here.. maybe someone from a remote place can access my band info, listen it and maybe like it or not.
We are approaching our work as professional as we can. Making it our first priority in life. It's been 7 years since we formed, at first slowly, but growing a lot these last 3 years. We edited 2 LPs (2014 and 2016), and a couple of EPs. We have a lot to share, and a lot more to come. We offer a modern type of metal, diverse, engulfing a lot of styles. We started as an english singing band, but turned into a spanish one time ago for a couple of reasons.
We have great material to share with metalheads around the world and I think internet (and proper sites) are the way to shorten those distances that otherwise (at least for the moment) are impassible for us.
Last but not least, I see few bands from my country in here. Argentina has so many talented bands growing up at this precise moment that makes me sad that sometimes we don't get the chance to show it properly.
I'll leave some links If you wish to go deeper on what we are doing
Instagram (quite new): https://www.instagram.com/against.metal/
Thanks for reading
(Sorry if my english presents some errors)

They've just released their first full length (72 minutes!), a concept album about enlightenment, eastern philosophy and quantum physics. They sounds like Cult Of Luna, Mastodon and Tool.

This band has some historical significance. They have got to be one of the oldest metal punk bands. The bands first three albums were produced by Algy Ward (Tank), then Lemmy (Motörhead), and then Cronos (Venom). They have been disbanded for a long time (1993) and they don't have a website; I just linked to Metal Archives in the official website box.
21.04.2016 - Zaforas
This band has been 15 playing for almost 15 years, they've shared stage with bands as Cynic or Freak Kitchen. Their last album "Dreamers. Dreaming" is simply an amazing work. (https://quaoar.bandcamp.com/)

Interesting band, I like it; but it's not really metal. The link you included in the "official website" box doesn't seem to work. The one at the end of your comment does though.

This band has been around for more than 10 years but their first album, Rise Of Insanity, was released on March/2015. They've been promoting their latest single, Kill For Money for a while and will be releasing their second album, Challenge, later this year (2016).
They won several festivals in Brazil, played on gigs for more than 7.000 people and got quite popular on Russia and Belgium after their first album was released and piracy took over (yeah, piracy does not bother them).

Henrique Borges is a songwriter and guitarist,he is known for his pioneering approach in the way of playing the Portuguese guitar. Having started his music studies at age 15, soon he met with the sound of the Portuguese guitar and influenced by bands he heard in adolescence, he created his own way of playing the Portuguese guitar , away from the traditional fingering but before applying the techniques he knew at the time and so far only used in contemporary musical styles .
