It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

Pathless Land were formed March of 2010, amidst the backdrop
of Progressive Metal stalwarts, Tempest Eternal. Originally envisioned as a "spacey metal shred with a touch of prog" side project by guitarist Matt "Mattowarrior" Davinci, it became a beast all its own when Matt decided to make the jump from Tempest into the great unknown. Musical and other differences fueled the split, and Matt embarked on the beginngs of what would be a huge undertaking into many different stylings of heavy metal music with diverse influences. Inspired by many one man bands which over the years have run the gamut from Bathory to many of Devin Townsend's projects, Matt decided to record an album/demo to make his first move alone on the metal map. The aptly titled came out in 2012, and even though a sometimes rough set of recordings recorded at various times the 2 years before, it was a statement of intent from the Judas Priest meets classic German power metal "Wings of Vindication" to the space rock of "TQJ" (standing for the quantum jump) to the technical prog death and swedish melodic death inspired "End Times". Variety was the order of the day, and Mattowarrior makes his debut on vocals and all instruments with equal aplomb. But while Matt sowed his metal oats with , something was missing. With the urge to play live and after a series of shows with another band (the very different but equally eclectic Midi Warlord (now called Axxxed), a live show was envisioned for Pathless Land. Also almost simultaneously, new ideas were brewing to carry the Epic Metal tradition even further and that brings us to now, a period that in which Pathless is making the transition from solo project to full band, a band which shows the promise of being one of the best brand new metal bands in America, and perhaps the planet. Or perhaps the universe, as you the listener, are just a traveller along for this ride.

Solid new band, debut album came out 5/20. Sounds like emperor + shred + death + whatever, its proggy in spots. Going on tour, they could use another listing and they would be a great addition.

Founded by Finnish guitar maestro LARS ERIC MATTSON and keyboard player Alexander King the CONDITION RED Progressive Rock project was a truly international affair, incorporating Italian hotshot guitarist ALEX MASI and renowned keyboard player DEREK SHERINAN, a veteran of both ALICE COOPER and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN. Ella Grussner of BARKAVALL contributed violin and vocals. Lion Music released the self-titled debut in July 2000.
CONDITION RED returned in 2003 with the second instalment, granting singer / violinist Ella Grussner a much more prominent role from that of her contributions on the debut and adding EMPIRE drummer Gerald Kloos.
The band donated their rendition of DEEP PURPLE's 'Black Knight' to the 2003 'Blackmore's Castle - A Tribute to Deep Purple and Rainbow' album issued by Lion Music. Torgny Stjärnfelt guested on the 2004 BOOK OF REFLECTIONS debut, a mainly Scandinavian "All star" symphonic, neo-classical Power Metal project assembled by LARS ERIC MATTSON...

3/4 of this band is from Ne Obliviscaris http://metalstorm.net/bands/band.php?band_id=3932&bandname=Ne%2BObliviscaris. They've got Dan Presland on Drums, Brendan Brown on Bass, and Benjamin Baret on Lead Guitar from NeO. Also have this guy, http://www.metal-archives.com/artists/Ben_Boyle/286. I have listened to this album more than everything else that has come out this year except Mistur. I really enjoy the fretless bass (toured with Beyond Creation, Montreal tech death what), the atmospheric girl vocals ala Fallujah (but more to my liking), tremelo picking (blacken it a bit), and mega complicated driving drums you've grown to love from NeO. Samsara is definitely my favorite track. The segment at 1:58 is magic. This whole album is killer and the relative lack of vocals makes it really unique amongst the tech-deathy genres.

Infinite Spectrum is a prog metal band based in New York City. To further engage the listener, they use sound effects and voice acting to create "movie-like" scenes within the music. What sets Infinite Spectrum's music apart from the rest, is that there is a strong emphasis on combining a very theatrical element with the progressive metal genre, which is used to tell full-length stories/concepts.

Flatulated released their new album though Band Camp and it's entitled "Bowel Hymnary". Nine tracks of brutal old school death metal with plenty of creative genre mixing to keep it interesting throughout the album.
Here's what one reviewer had to say about it.
Slamophiliac - "Of all the old school death metal revivalism going on in recent years, this is the best to come out of it. Creative, humorous and all around well made, it is a hidden gem of the underground. Favorite track: Balls To The Wall."
1. Human Crop Field 4:05
2. Ass Maggots 5:04
3. Balls To The Wall 5:39
4. Vultuous 4:04

6. Death Queen 4:48
7. Melodious Keistering 3:44

..It so happened that during the autumn of 2003, four relatively alcoholised friends from the great city of Kokkola (situated on the westcoast of Finland) found themselves on a drinking-binge once again. Eventually their conversation, or drunken blabber, touched upon the subject of music. And as musicians often do when they're wasted, the four friends decided to start a coverband, covering the likes of Pantera & Slayer among others.... Much to their own surprise, the talks actually were remembered the next day, so our anti-heroes had no choice but to gather at a rehearsal place and get the party started. This union of booze and great music continued for some weeks, until one morning when the boys realised they'd actually written a couple of songs during the previous nights beerfueled hazyness. Eventually some more songs emerged and it was time for a demo. Mental Care Foundation was the name the boys settled for and by the end of 2003 they had a 4-track demo on their hand. Nothing much came of that, so in the spring of 2004 the MCF dudes entered a local studio with enough songs to record an album, and some weeks later their debut album was finished. The music was strongly influenced by Pantera, Slayer and Testament. Towards the end of 2004 the guys secured a deal with Low Frequency Records and in the spring of 2005 their debut album Alcohol Anthems was released. Due to other engagements the summer flew by without much happening but in October ' 05 the group met up again and decided it was time to do something. Studio 57 was booked for a total of 6 days (in two sessions) and equipped with tons of booze, a few riffs and the fear of God the guys started to bash it out. The spring of 2006 saw the release of the promo called The Holy Bastards which was sent all over the place yet yielded no response worth mentioning. As we know from before the summertime means drinking time for these guys but finally in the autumn of 2006, MCF found a new label to put out their 2nd album on and the latest in the grapevine says there will even be some shows coming up.........join us while this story still unfolds.

The band has a long history and has many releases. In the late 80's, the band released a full length album on Azra International Records titled "Blessing in the Skies" and the shaped picture disc "The Vision" with the same label. Other releases in the 80's and early 90's include "Slave to the Blade", "Death Before Dishonor", and "5 Demons". The band ended in 93, but in 99 Unisound Records released a best of titled "Axemaster & The Awakening - 1985-1995" and then the same label re-released "Death Before Dishonor".
