Personal information

Omar Harb was born in Damascus Syria in 1979 he start playing guitar at the age of 13 he start playing pop and rock music .
At the age of 16 he began playing the bass guitar and start playing with many local groups at the same time he was studying the bass guitar with the great Syrian/ Armenian bass player Garo Salakian.

In the year 2000 he moved to Boston to study at Berklee College of music thats where he studied with the likes of Hal Crook (one of the leading improvisation educators in the world)and Bruce Gertz (who Taught Alain Caron. Matt Garrison and many others).
He graduated from Berklee with a degree in contemporary writing & production.

Omar started a production company called NEXTTONE in Damascus and he is producing some local bands "The Hourglass" "Gene" "Anas & Friends" and composers. he is working on his first solo album. and he is developing his solo performance act.
