Kosta Varvatakis grew up in Modesto, California, a city about 2 hours south of Sacramento. He picked up the guitar at the age of 12 and never put it down. Although Kosta grew up being influenced by Greek folk music from the island of Crete, he believes that he fell in love with Heavy Metal music when he first heard it at 10 years old. His fast soloing style and a hard chugging right hand make his guitar playing instantly recognizable. Together with Andrew Gage they create a nuclear explosion of solo trading and heavy riffing that will incinerate you and leave you a smoldering pile of ash.
