Hedras Ramos Sr. began playing guitar at the age of 11. His first guitar was an acoustic guitar enherited from his father. His passion for the instrument led him to study with vinyl records, cassettes, VHS video tapes, books, etc., and so he became a self-taught musician.

In his younger days, Hedras Sr. founded several bands. Perhaps the most successful band in Latin America, Vox Dei, which means Voice of God, was a Christian Rock band with Hedras Sr. being one its co-founders along with the other original band members.

Hedras Sr. was the engineer on the first album of the band Quitate la Mascara and the producer of the second album titled Torre Fuerte where he and his wife composed most of the songs, he also was the arranger, engineer, and lead guitarist. This band was so successful that they toured several countries in Latin America.

After leaving Vox Dei, Hedras Sr. founded another band in the genre of praise and worship, circa 1993, called Proyecto Mas.

In 1995, Hedras Sr. and his great friend Helbert Arias founded the instrumental Latin/Jazz/Rock band named BlueROJO and they produced an album that never saw day light.

From 1995 up till today, Hedras Sr. has worked as an independant producer, composer, and arranger for many artists. He also entered full-time into the advertising world, producing commercials for many top name ad agencies from the United States and Latin America. More than 2000 jingles and over 20 albums have been produced by Audio 7 Productions Hedras' recording studio and audio production company.

Today, Hedras Sr. continues to work producing commercials. However, his main focus is managing his son Hedras Ramos Jr. who is a young guitar prodigy. Hedras Sr. has dedicated his life to assisting his son in the music business. He also works as co-producer, engineer and bass player on all of Hedras Jr.'s rock instrumental guitar albums.
