Biography

In April 2003, after Panzer's break up, the drummer Edson Graseffi joins his old Panzer's bandmate Mauricio Cliff to start a new band. With songs influenced by many branches of Thrash Metal and Heavy Metal, the band recorded its first EP 'In Pieces'. This material was produced by Héros Trench and Marcelo Pompeu (Korzus / Mr. Som studio), between September and November 2003.

The EP was available for free download on the band's website, and in only 2 months, 2000 downloads were registered. It brought to the band in a short time, many reviews in Brazil and Europe, as in Bleeding Magazine (Germany): "Infernal Thrash riffs that stick in our head immediately". The band conceded some interviews to web sites and magazines around the world, and cover issues of the Turkish magazine 'Rock Station' and the Serbian magazine 'Nocturne'. The group also played constantly in American radios like Radio Satan 666 and Audio Aggression.

After one year, the EP reached 15.000 downloads, a great score for an underground band, and it brought a big exposure on the media. In addition, Reviolence took part in another project, a compilation named Joining Forces, from the German label Hard Earn Records, that was released in all Europe on the second semester of 2004, with the band receiving lots of good reviews around the old continent. Some months later, the band releases the video for the song 'Zero of Me', produced by Cláudio Tibérios, who had already worked with Torture Squad and Panzer. This video was made with captions of a gig in Blackmore Rock Bar (São Paulo/ Brazil), in August 2004, and parts of band's studio rehearsals.

After some concerts to promote the EP, Reviolence got back to studio to start recording a new EP also produced by Héros Trench and Marcelo Pompeu. With a renewed sound, the band released its second EP, called 'Violent Phoenix'. This work gave to the band a position between the Best of 2008 band in the radio Thrash Unlimited.

Because the great promotion in Europe, the German fans gave Reviolence an official forum where people from across Europe can discuss topics related to the band.

Between the months of November and December 2009, Reviolence enters the studio to record the album 'Modern Beast', this time produced by Mauro Juliany, who had worked with Edson and Mauricio in Panzer. With the CD done, the band signed with Marquee Records to release the new album.

Modern Beast' brings a mix of traditional Heavy Metal and Thrash Metal that the band practiced since its first release, and is being distributed, beyond Brazil, in four countries: Germany, Japan, USA and Canada. The new album in just three months have brought many positive reviews and interviews around the world in magazines and websites, giving a good highlight to the release.

In Brazil, the album was considered one of the best sellers in store Die Hard and outside of the country has been played in several European radio playlists.

Today, the band features the new vocalist Ralph Wiltemburg and the single 'King Of The Night', Reviolence is still in the process of the promotion of 'Modern Beast / King Of The Night' and preparing songs for the second release which should come in 2011.
