Biography

Previously known as Appalling Spawn, the band released the demo record Bestial, Mystical & Spiritual (The First Spawn) in 1996, and one full-length CD, Freedom, Hope, & Fury (The Second Spawn) in 1998. The band became known as Lykathea Aflame once Tomá? Corn from Garbage Disposal joined. Under this name, the band released a full-length CD called Elvenefris in 2000, recorded in studio Hostivař, Prague. Throughout 2001 band changes second guitarist twice.

In June of 2002, band line-up changed quite rapidly, there was now a keyboardist as well, song "To Give" was re-recorded for the album compliation Obscene Extreme 2002 with female vocalist and guest violinist. During summer of 2002 the band was touring with Rotten Sound and Fleshless. In autumn 2002, it was renamed to Lykathé and effectively went on hiatus.

Throughout the years, new material has been written, the band has announced revival several times, however it always failed in the end. In 2011, Elvenefris has been remixed and remastered in studio Hostivař and re-relased. There has been virtually no activity since.
