Biography

During Summer 2004, Amesoeurs was formed by Neige (Alcest), Audrey Sylvain and Fursy Teyssier (Les Discrets) with the purpose of creating a music that reflects the dark side of the industrial era and modern civilization.

A few songs were immediately written and the band performed one gig. Shortly after, Fursy Teyssier decided to leave the band to go back to his studies. In April 2005, a first MCD entitled "Ruines Humaines" was self-recorded. The band sent it to a few labels but had to wait 2006 to see its release through Northern Silence Productions. Later in 2006 Amesoeurs signed a contract with the Italian label Code 666 and in 2007 Fursy joined the band again. Then, following conscientiously its inspirations Amesoeurs kept on the composition and recorded a full-length album during winter 2008-2009 in the Klangschmiede Studio E with Markus Stock (Empyrium). This self-titled album can be described as a mature and ambitious collection of songs honouring the band concept through its complete prism of images and emotions. Due to some internal conflicts and different points of view about the band's future, Amesoeurs splited up with the release of its first effort.
