Winterfylleth hail from Manchester in the heart of the North West of England. The name "Winterfylleth" means "winter full moon" in the Old English Anglo-Saxon language. Winterfylleth represents the modern month of October, and is the Anglo-Saxon festival of the arrival of winter - the winter full moon. Winterfylleth play English black metal, with traditional Northern European folk and ambient overtones.

The band has released two full-length albums thus far: The Ghost Of Heritage (2008) and The Mercian Sphere (2010).
