Biography

The band was formed in the may of 1996 as a trio. The members: Gábor Dévényi/guitar, vocal; Ferenc Mocsnik/drums; Krisztián Békei/bass. In this years summer we recorded the Inno a Satana demo. Some month later Krisztián Békei leaved the band. Instead of him János Fürjes arrived. About the same time Larion synthetiser player, Roland Hüse guitar player and Krisztián Antal singer joined the group. In 1997 Gábor Dévényi got off the band for a small period of time, so Storm demo was recorded without him. In 1998 Under demo and the split bakelite A tribute to tormentor released together with Ahriman, on which we played the song titled Elizabeth Bathory were recorded with full staff again.

To this point of time the band has already achieved popularity in the underground society giving successful concerts at several spots around the counrty. During the same year the band attended a talent scouting competition, called Rockpárbaj (Rock Duel) and became 4th out of 20 groups. In 1999 Songs casette EP was released by Stygian Shadows publisher. Instead of Krisztián Antal, István Kalinka was singing. This year János Fürjes, Gábor Dévényi and Larion also got off the band because of musical disagreements. Tibor Mile stand in for Larion to play the synthetiser while Ferenc Mocsnik changed for contrabass and Ferenc Gyöngyösi help the band playing drums. In 2000 Nephilim Records offered a treaty to Frost which we accepted.

The band recorded its first record in Érd, but it was not released, as the publisher went bankrupt. The material was published with Stygian Shadows Production finally. A never line-up played on the record: István Kalinka/vocal, Roland Hüse/guitar, Toltán Tóth/synth, Ferenc Mocsnik/bass, drums. (The numerous changes among the members did not serve the prosperity of the band of course). Inbetween Zoltán Valter guitar player joined the band and the result of the common work was Voices beyond the gates EP released in 2004, which is the most agressive material of the band so far.

In 2005 american Paragon Rec. applied for Extreme material, which was released on the 19th of april with the earlier recorded demos, a remix of Elizabeth Bathory and a new cover. The recent line-up of Frost is: Tamás Deák/vocal, Csaba Tátrai/guitar, Zoltán Tóth/synth, Roland Székely/drums and Ferenc Mocsnik/bass.
