Biography

Vehement were born in September 2002 under the name Morpheus, thanks to a mad idea of the current guitarist Filippo "Ciccus" Buzzi and the former vocalist Enrico "Depa" De Pascalis. The band started playing with covers of the AC/DC, of the early Iron Maiden and Metallica, with the purpose of enjoying themselves and to entertain people playing everywhere, from the pub to the school party. In autumn 2003 happened the first line-up change: with the entry of the current drummer Stefano "Safi" Savi the style became thrashier and thrashier. The band started to propose some original songs and playing almost regularly. During Summer 2004 Morpheus became Vehement and "Depa", the singer, left the band and was replaced by the current bassist Michele "Mike" Cordioli. With this line-up, the band found it's ideal for composition and the music written became a very fast and aggressive '80s Thrash Metal with some influences from bands like Slayer, Kreator, Exodus, Metallica and so on... During 2005 the band begun to grow, playing live out of Verona. Vehement made his early live performances in festivals, playing together with high-level underground bands and attracting the attention in many country fests. In July of the same year they recorded at "Bunkker Studios" their first demo called "Needless to Oppose", with four songs which were well accepted by specialized press. That was the right way,XXX the audiance during their live show, the live activity of the band was already very consistent with very direct and impacting shows. The live shows were all around Italy, from north to south, from Trento to Catanzaro. At the beginning of year 2007 the guitarist Massimo "Drago" Cavallini left the band for job problems and there began the desperate search for a new solo guitar, also for the upcoming recording of their professional LP. The Vehement didn't give up and for a couple of dates they got the help of their friend Marco "Pacyu" Lavarini, already guitar of Last Legacy. The real turn anyway happened in June with the arrival of Alberto "Tode" Todeschini, a very experienced metal solo guitarist. During August 2007 Vehement started at the "Bunkker Studios", managed by Mirko Nosari, the early pre-productions of the first cd "All that's behind". The live activity were stopped to work hart to the record. The album was finished in March 2008. In January 2009 Alberto "Tode" Todeschini has been replaced by Davide "Gira" Girardi, bringing a new modern approach to the lead guitars. In July Vehement signs for My Kindom Music.
