Biography

Gore/horror-themed death metal has always had its fair share in the entire extreme metal genre, but only a handful of bands within the genre have made a significant impact in the '90s, and only a few are considered as timeless classics.

In 2008 one such band by the name of Bone Gnawer burst onto the scene featuring some of the most elite musicians in the genre's history. Death metal icon Kam Lee (Massacre, Denial Fiend, Mantas/Death) serves up some of his trademark growls along with his cannibal comrades Rogga Johansson (Paganizer, Demiurg, The 11th Hour), Morgan Lie (Naglfar), and Ronnie Bjornstrom (Ribspreader, Hate Ammo).

Their 2009 debut, Feast Of Flesh, captures all the vital ingredients of the catchy Floridian-styled hooks, yet possesses all the Swedish death metal groove and flair relating back to the early '90s. The album also features legendary horror lord "Killjoy" (Necrophagia) and Dopi (Machetazo) contributing guest vocals. During the winter of the same year, Bone Gnawer teamed up with fellow gore-themed death metal giants Bonesaw to release a pounding death metal split EP.

In June 2010 Bone Gnawer re-released their 2009 debut on a limited vinyl edition featuring an exclusive 7" EP entitled Scissors, featuring three bonus tracks. The album was released via Metal Inquisition Records.
