Biography

In Silentio Noctis is a Finnish symphonic/melodic black metal band founded in 2006. The idea was originally born in the early 2000s but was only brought to life by Armi Päivinen (vocals) and Elias Vihma (guitars) after splitting from their former band. A year of member hunting and songwriting was concluded in December 2007, when the band recorded their first (and only) demo, Symphonies Of Death, at Klaukkala's D-Studio.

During the following year the band managed to secure a steady and motivated line-up, starring Toni Taskinen on guitars, Kim Suikkanen on bass and Rainer 'Raikku' Tuomikanto as long-term session drummer. In autumn 2008, choirs for live performances and future releases were recorded with members of the Academic Choral Society. The choral parts were used on their next recording, a one-track internet release, Signum Crucis, in January 2009.

At that point, hopes of releasing a full-length album were already alive, and after some serious budget planning those hopes were brought to life in May. Through Fragments Of Christianity was recorded at D-Studio, mixed at Sonic Pump Studios by Nino Laurenne and mastered by Minerva Pappi at Finnvox Studios.

Production of Through Fragments Of Christianity was completed in 2009, leading to a recording contract with Italian label My Kingdom Music and is scheduled for released in the spring of 2010.

In 2010 Oskari Viljanen(drums) and Peccath (keys)joined the band for a brief moment until the band split up officially in May 2011 due to lack of motivation and time from some members.

In August 2012 In silentio noctis entered the studio again to record a few unreleased songs with a new line-up, Armi Päivinen (vocals) Tuomas Leskinen (guitars), Samuli Reinikainen (guitars), Aleksi Ahokas (bass) and Veikko Ringvall (drums
