Biography

Agora was created in 1996 by: Manuel Vazquez (guitars), Eduardo Carrillo (Drums) and Alejandro Romero (guitars), in October (1996) the band finally becomes a complete group with the arrival of Hector Barragán (keyboards) Pablo Lonngi (bass) and Bosch (vocals).

In 1998 Alejandro Romero leaves Agora and later Sergio Aguilar takes his place in the band playing the same instrument as the mentioned associate, the new member brings new "chemistry" to the band members and Agora becomes a more serious project creating huge recognition by the Metal fans worldwide. On late July and early August (1998) the band produced their first Demo with the record label called "Produccion Dinamica " Agora continues strong in the Mexican scene playing in festivals and other concerts, but in 1999 Bosch decides to take another path and leaves the band without a singer, a new singer joins Agora after this, his name, Gilberto Castellanos.

In November (1999) Argenta Records had a discussion with the band and they decide to finally record their second Demo. This Demo was recorded on February 2000 at Cusco Studios, unfortunately, due to Gilberto's lack of commitment, this Demo was never released and then Gilberto left the band. In June (1999) Agora seeks for another singer and after a couple of months doing auditions the band chooses Eduardo Contreras; Contreras re-records the vocals for the demo and finally their second Demo gets released.

Taking baby steps, Agora manages to open new paths in the Metal circuit, then in December (2000) Argenta Records offers a Full Length Record Deal to the band, so under the production of Antonio Ruiz and Julian Velasquez Agora finally records their first full length album. This album reflects 4 years of hard work and commitment in which Agora tried to open new paths and finally they achieved their main dream.

After this brief history, Agora kept on working on what they do best, making music, the band recorded in the year 2001 their second full length "Segundo Pasado" reaching new levels of musicianship and songwriting, then in the next year they played with bands such as Hammerfall, this concert gave the band new audience and new worldwide recognition; in 2005 they released their third full length called "Zona De Silencio", a new Progressive Metal attack by one of the most amazing Mexican Metal bands in Metal history.
