Biography

Merciless Terror formed in April 2009. With influences such as Benediction, Bolt Thrower, Carcass, Napalm Death, Obituary, Aborted and Sepultura the band created its own powerful blend of early 90s thrash, grindcore and old school death metal while still keeping an element of modern death metal.

After months of song-writing the band hit Parlour Sound Studio on September the 12th & 13th, working with Neil Haynes. He helped the band to perfect a sound and create their first demo Deeds of Inhumanity.

A year later, September 2010, the band went into Nottingham's Doghouse Studios to record their EP Perpetual Devastation. It sees release mid-2011 via Bad News Records, with a cover by famed Canadian artist Pascal Laquerre (Aeternam, Kataklysm (Prevail), Eclipse Prophecy (debut EP)).

Come 2012, the EP is followed up by a single "Shattered Existence" which features new recordings of one song from each of the previous releases. October 2012 sees another new song issued on the Eternal Decay EP to introduce the new drummer, and in preparation for the Merciless Terror Japan Tour.

Another year on, the full-length debut is finally brandished: Vile Extinction - 35 minutes of thrashing, face-melting fury; out now from new label Devil's Clause Records.

With several appearances in Terrorizer magazine (including being voted 6th best unsigned act of 2009), a support slot for Bolt Thrower, Benediction and Rotting Christ, a headline tour of Ireland under their belt and many more gigs ahead the band is an unstoppable force with one goal: To dominate the metal scene!
