1989 Formation of the Band "The Preachers"
1995 Renaming from "The Preachers" to "Seventh Avenue" Release of the CD "Rainbowland" and of the Single "Children" Founder members are: Herbie Langhans: Guitar / Vocals William Hieb: Bass Louis Schock: Drums
1996 Release of the CD "Tales of Tales" at "Treasure Hunt Records"
1997 Drummer Louis Schock leaves the band, Mike Pflueger comes as the new drummer
1998 Release of the CD "Southgate" at "Treasure Hunt Records" as well. The Label overtakes also the "Rainbowland".
1999 Release of the EP "Goodbye", also at "Treasure Hunt". Bassist William Hieb leaves the band. Florian Gottsleben as a rhythm guitarist and Geronimo Stade as bassist are joining the band.
2001 Construction of an own Studio named "Woodwind-Studio" The licensing laws of the 4 already released CDs are sold to "Megahard Records" in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The 2000 pressed CDs are quickly sold out.
2002 Recordings of the CD "Between the Worlds". In September a Headliner Tour in Brazil and release of the "Between the Worlds" in South America.
2003 SEVENTH AVENUE signs a record deal with Massacre Records for the "Between the Worlds" and an option for a second CD. The band also signs a management agreement with MCM Music (Rob Rock, Saviour Machine...). In Ferbuary the "Between the Worlds" is released in Europe as well. Geronimo Stade leaves the band and in November new bassist Markus Beck is found.
2004 In Ferbuary the recordings for the new CD "Eternals" are starting. It will be released at Massacre Records in Germany and at Megahard Records in South America. Release in Europe is in October. The "Eternals" is sold over 2000 times til December.
2005 A second Headliner Tour is held in South America in February. After the tour SEVENTH AVENUE starts to collect new ideas for the next CD.
2006 Recordings for the new CD "Terium" are starting. It wil be a conceptional album which story will be an allegory of the life and act of Jesus up to his death and resurrection. First Mike determines that it will take 14 songs to cover the theme. Then Herbie writes the music. Recordings are starting in August.
2007 When the raw songs are ready, Mike begins to write the lyrics right on the melodies. And while he is working on the conceptional story, Herbie makes the mix. This time without any help. Only the mastering is done by well versed hands of Sascha Paeth in the Gate Studios.
2008 In Ferbuary Kai Muehlenbruch joins the band as a third guitarist. In March the "Terium" is released, at Massacre Records as well. All reviews are written positively, even if the reviewer has given only few points. Two "big" German Magazines "Rock Hard" and "Metal Hammer" reviewed very good. In April follow some shows. E.g. The "Legends of Rock" with "Bloodgood", "Narnia", "Whitecross". SEVENTH AVENUE also supports "Rage" and "Edenbridge" at three shows at "Rage's" "Carved in Stone" tour.
2012 Disbanded, Drummer Mike Pflüger leaves the band for personal reasons. a new band is planned with the same line-up
