Biography

Death metal band HYPNOS was founded at fall of 1999 by BRUNO (bass, guitar, vocals) after he left the leading Czech death squad KRABATHOR together with the other founding member PEGAS, known especially for his great drumming on Krabathor "LIES" album in 1995.

HYPNOS had several permanent and session guitarists between 1999-2005 and during that gap of time, the band released one MCD ("Hypnos", 2000), one compilation CD ("Demons", 2004) and three full length CDs ("In Blood We Trust", 2000, "The Revenge Ride", 2001 and "Rabble Manifesto", 2005).

The MCD "Hypnos'" was released by the German record label MORBID RECORDS. Other titles were also issued on METAL AGE ("Demons") and METAL SWAGE/REDBLACK (Czech license for "Rabble Manifesto"). Hypnos performed more than 220 shows all over Europe with bands like Morbid Angel, Behemoth, Enslaved, Vader, Dying Fetus, The Crown, Pungent Stench, Obscenity, Haemorrhage etc. In January 2006, after the Eurotour with Centinex and Purgatory, HYPNOS interrupted all activities for a non specified period.

At fall of 2009, BRUNO and PEGAS started practicing again, in order to prepare new material for the brand new MCD entitled "Halfway To Hell", aimed to be released in July 2010 via the Czech based record label CRYSTAL PRODUCTIONS.

A comeback show is planned for the famous Czech festival BRUTAL ASSAULT in Jaromer (Czech Rep.) at 13.8.2010 featuring bands like Cannibal Corpse, Hypocrisy, Ihsahn, Napalm Death etc. Two session guitarists for this concert will be IGORR who is also the bassist for the Czech Cult outfit ROOT and HONZA SAMEK from SABATHORY.

More shows are planned for the future and also recording of a 4th full length CD should take place around autumn of 2011.
