Biography

SOUL SACRIFICE is a Turkish metal band from the biggest city of Turkey, ISTANBUL. The band has variety of sounds, including mostly death metal with melodic tunes, some oriented turkish melodies and mixture of different vocal types.

The band started to jamming by guitarists Maksim and Feyzi in 1997. Maksim also did the vocals in early days of first four piece line-up. In 1999, Baris (ex-voc.) had joined the band and started to do the vocal work. The band take it to higher level than being an amateur metal band. In 2001, Sevan (ex-bass) and Cagri (ex-drums) had joined the band and new line-up started to work. The band recorded their first demo, "A GIFT FROM AN ANGEL", which was used for promotional, with this line-up ,also played in big festivals & shows with the same line-up. Drummer Zafer also helped the band on Orphaned Land show.

In 2003, The band has departured and the door is opened for the line-up of future. Onur, who played drums for the band "Myst" at that time, joined "SOUL SACRIFICE", then Ozgur joined the band as a bass player and vocals who worked with the group several times before. In 2004, the band decided to put the ideas together as an album with this line up.

...And Finally, in 2005, the first recording "STRANDED HATE", which was recorded by Hasan Umut Onder between Sep. 2004 - Jan. 2005, was released. So many musician did excellent jobs in this album, with likes of DEMIR DEMIRKAN, who is a strong guitarist and a songwriter in Turkey that wrote the winner song of "Eurovision" for Turkey, and played guitar for the best metal heroes of Turkey "The Pentagram" (Mezarkabul). The band is looking for label and distribution worldwide & working for their second release at the moment, scheduled for recording in April and looking for shows and festivals national and international...
