In 2001 they joined forces with Trevor Peres of Obituary and changed the name to Catastrophic temporarily. They released only 1 CD and Chris Basile (only constant & original member) decided to resurrect the 'Rex! That CD is -almost- considered a Pyrexia release since the line-up is so similar.
